Awake is DEFINITELY my favorite song on the EP. 1. The intricate ambiance of the pre-intro draws you in SO well, the classy groove of the piano-based part of the intro establishes the main riff, and then the guitar just takes it away! I love it when a riff is established slowly with an acoustic guitar/piano, as it makes the distorted, fast version so much more anticipated and epic, and this is a beautiful example of this! 2. MISERY. In the second line of the song. What else need I say? 3. The playfulness of that chorus riff combined with the slightly somber piano and vocals creates a really interesting, complex mood. 4. That little Rapture-esque moment at the beginning of the second verse gives you a little hint of what's to come during the...bridge? No, during the breakdown. That's 100% what it is. 5. THE BREAKDOWN. I did NOT expect such astounding levels of heaviness at ALL. Props to every member of the band, especially the drummer, for creating such a cool moment! 6.THE BREAKDOWN!!!! 7. The song has an underlying tension throughout it, which is relieved to a small degree in the solo, but still leaves you feeling unsatisfyed, until the very end, when Casey's voice resolves everything in a beautiful cresendo, and then takes it one step further. 8. The song has an amazing amount of variety throughout it, and never lets you get bored. It makes an almost seven-minute-long song feel like three minutes. 9.The song is filled with little details that you notice more of every time you listen to it (which I've only done...20 times or so). 10/10. Amazing all around.

I never thought it possible to have a piano in a rock song, not be a power ballad and still have it sound so awesome. If this is the standard that's to be expected from the next album then I'm definitely buying it.
2 recent albums I recommend: *Scardust* - _Strangers_ *Everfrost* - _Winterider_ Both sound similar to OK Goodnight but haven't gotten enough attention. Very underrated.

I remember back in Volume 1 of RWBY first hearing Casey on "This will be the day" & digging her so much. Now her voice has developed so much & its gotten so beautifully epic.
The minor version of rebirth should definitely be used if and when salem's curse gets broken. It should be put over a scene of Salem dying but then she realizes she won't be able to come back this time. Thus she rebirths in the afterlife.

This entire album perfectly embodies every deep an traumatized emotion I've ever felt and I feel like its helping me heal, so thank you for making it. I really appreciate the genius of this work, its way underrated and I can't wait for the rest of the world to discover it, truly. I don't really know what everyone in the band is going through, but I really look forward to seeing you all come out on top and displaying your strengths
Awake is an absolute bop. I love when someone manages to create a techy/progressive riff without sacrificing groove. Going right in the playlist next to opeth gojira and DT.
It was also featured in the animated web series RWBY which Casey sings pretty much every song in, and just about every song was written by her dad. She just recently took over his job and is now the lead score composer for the series.
Some of Awake's lyrics hit really hard. Standouts in the order they appear in the song being "With darkness my tears collide" "Silence fuels the deadly cries" and "Curse my innocence goodbye" I don't know how to explain why those specific lyrics hit so hard but they do and the song has damn near made me cry several times. It's an incredible song in general and it's probably their best (that's saying something too, because I love literally everything this band has put out so far)
I was listening to Periphery's new live album, and then I saw this...no hesitation LOL. This is legitimately some of the best, most original-sounding music to come from this decade. If this doesn't have a million-plus views when I check back, I'll be extremely disappointed with the world.
How do I even begin to describe how amazing this ep is when there's so much talent oozing out of it! I have been listening to Limbo non-stop while waiting for this and it's obvious that the quality of your music has not dropped at all. Rebirth was a song I was not expecting but the piano was beautiful and Casey's vocals were superb as they were in every song! Huge props to the guitarist and bassists because their talent really showed in the first two tracks and the drummer was on point throughout the ep! You guys are awesome so keep doing what you do best which is making some rocking music for us!

Piano in a heavier rock song is very typical of progressive metal. If you like this style, you should check out more of it!
