Making a scrollsaw basket | Part 1

You can go to my Facebook page. The basket pattern is on there. Save it and print it out ,then you can inlarge it to any size.

Nice job and great video. Is there a reason why you don't drill small piercing holes instead of having to glue them up later to complete the rings

Yes, that is one way you can do it.

Do you apply any finish to your baskets besides coloring the slats?

I spray a clear coat on them or put a boiled linseed oil on them.

Luther, What adhesive do you use for the basket paper pattern that will peel off and not effect the blade?

I just use a temporary adhesive spray
Put down painters tape first, then the pattern

Where can I get the pattern for this basket? Also, the DCT thin strip jig on Amazon only has one wheel. Where can I find the double wheel jig?

As for the pattern for the basket, the picture of the pattern is on my Facebook page. Save the image to your computer, then just print it out. You will need to enlarge the pattern to the size you want.
The thin strip jig, you are not the only one who asked. I bought it at a woodworking show years ago. I'm not sure who I bought it from. I have searched all over for one with two wheels and can not find one. They all have just one wheel on them. So you may have to settle for the one wheel. I don't know why I can't find one with two wheels.
