Who are the Sindrian Fuel Company? In this video, we take a look at a Starsector meme mod, that has developed into something amazing. A video three months in the making, and the LONGEST script I've ever written, this video felt like a... Marathon. There are quite a few jokes hidden in ship names and subtitles, can you find them all?

PAGSM is still very much in development, so many things are still a work-in-progress and are being updated. Expect changes to character art, ships, interactions, everything really. What you see in the video is highly subject to change.
Through the making of this video, I did encounter some rather serious health issues which will be ongoing fights for future production. You may notice significant changes in my voice in certain parts of the video. I encourage all viewers to make healthy choices, and make your health one of your top priorities.

Not a StarSector player, but I made some of the portraits for this mod (like Yunifer, Gregory, Kween, Ruka). I didn't expect it to be this big before looking into it, glad so many people seem to enjoy it 😅

The MILF effect is incredibly powerful, especially when CY gets involved.
I love how the entire mod has a community easter eggs and references, like the Yunru/Yunri-like characters referencing a certain modder that makes Pirates and the Luddites way stronger and based

It's a project you just have to contribute to. It's just too much fun.
Even after giving Runi the ship of her dream, I also give her IS - 20000 3 UAF Semibre so she could enjoy herself to the fullest.
A dozen friendly ships and 3 allied stations were dead in blue-on-blue accidents, but that's all worth it.
Truly one of the mods of all time.

I sincerely appreciate this video. I'd written off this mod as a meme as well. My first reaction upon seeing was to think it was a simple re-flavoring of SD into "The Gas Man". Really, the credits list of a bunch of legendary SS modders should've tipped me off, but I didn't look too closely.
What I've been looking for most in mods lately has been character interaction and *deep lore*.
And after watching this review? I can say with some measure of certainty, that we are truly one step closer to VN sector.
I was there when he first posted the mod. I was the first to witness this man's rise to power.
*And it was a thing that no mere mortal was ever meant to see.*

I have never heard of Starsector, much less anything with this channel. And yet this is probably one of the best video's in editing and writing that I've seen that has made me want to buy a game on sight. I love it all, thank you for the hour of entertainment.
I highly recommend the game, I... I don't think I can describe how amazing the modding scene is, or how exciting it can be to explore the farthest depths of the void, or...
I have two things to say though.
1-Get the Nexerlin mod, [among other things] it lets factions go to war and conquer planets, build alliances and generally makes the sector so much more dynamic because you can influence all of this!
2-There exists a certain African warlo- **cough** TH-camr by the name of Ssethtzeentach. If you want a [dev approved*] 'free trial' of the game, have a look at his review of the game. Just make sure to buy the game if you like it, the devs deserve it for what they've built.

I gotta say, you're easily becoming one of my favorite TH-camrs. Seeing your videos show up in my sub box gets me excited for more Starsector content. If the mods aren't on the mod index page, then I wouldn't even knew some mods existed or for this mod, I overlooked it because it didn't seem interesting and I'm glad this video proved me wrong. It's obvious you love making these videos. Your style of comedy is fun and refreshing and even though these videos can be over half an hour long, at no point does it feel tiring or get boring. Continue the great work Lion.

Like Sumoga I'm not a StarSector player (have like zero knowledge of it lmao), just made some art for Greywind, but it was quite interesting to hear more about it (oh and great video!)

So, I had never heard of this game before but this mod review convinced me to get it (I love mods and the fact that mods like this exist shows me that there is a dedicated modding scene to this which is all I really need).

For anyone who's going after Yunifer, I offer a single, game saving hint (So important that I had to abandon a 10 hour save because I jumped the gun so hard that I only have myself to blame):
Don't be pushy. If your only option left for recruiting her is through Kween, you already lost her.

You keep Yunifer as a contact, up your relationship to at least 25 or 50. You ask to hire her on the first time, but reconsider. Wait until a few days pass, you should be able to ask again, and the dialogue will be different, with her acting a bit more confident. If not, up the relationship from 25 up to 50 or from 50 up to 75. I upped it to 75 right off the bat so I wouldn't know. Once she sounds more confident, go for it, and when she asks why... Not sure about this, but honestly this is probably the final "do not be a jackass" check. Let it be her decision. Then bam, lvl 10 officer with busted stats but a horrible Timid disposition that you *can* mitigate to Cautious at the cost of losing elite skill status on every single skill she has. Honestly just let her do her thing, even if she's in the back all the time those guns do good work (or you can micromanage her into being more aggressive with direct attack commands).

I have no clue about Starsector or this meme-turned-reality, I just stumbled upon this in my recommended list and the title made me somewhat curious. Now, however, I kind of do want look more into this game and potentially give it a shot myself, so thank you for potentially adding yet another game to the unending list of games I want to play sir, you've earned a sub as a result

Ironically, the funniest thing about this review, which speaks volumes about this mod, is that as extensive as it is, you *still* missed a character. Namely Karlos Pononzi, Chief Executive Officer of the Nachiketa Fuel Traders Incorporated, and Philip Andrada's hated nemesis (well, from Pononzi's point at least). You find him on Nachiketa, and though I haven't digged too much in the character interactions, one thing is certain: do NOT mention Andrada in his presence. Seriously.

PAGSM mod should (imo) be added to the StarSector base game.
This was absolutely beautiful and an excellent watch. Had a good number of laughs as well as learning just how deep the PAGSM rabbit hole goes. TY for your hard work!

The deeper I get into Starsector lore, and starsector 'mod-lore' the more I realize I don't know... and it scares me.

I started using it around six months ago, and instantly fell in love with Yunris Kween and discovering
that it worked with the awesome Sierra questline from Secrets of the Frontier [which is so good it scared the crap out of me on the end mission. top-tier as well]
MILF, and Lober. I'm already sold on this mod. XD
We kinda need fuel convoys that can supply you in remote areas in the game. I mean, it just makes sense. You're in the depth of space, you are running out of fuel... just call your colony and ask them to send you 3000 units of fuel. Wait a bit und wham, you got delicious fuel again.
At first I was rather confused, then at 8:00 mark when the music started playing it all clicked; Tropico in space. Yes, El Presidente grew bored of nation management and wanted a more simpler life as a gas-station manager.
Late to the party. But don't you think nobody missed that "My Wife's favorite ship" joke. You sir, made my day! hahaha!
