    Hey Jody, congrats on the new stripe. I usually watch your videos and Airman Vision,,,and then feed back to my 18yr info bits for him to think about (and then encourage him to watch!!). He just graduated HS and for the past year, has been talking about joining the military. I believe that he has decided on the Air Force and something in the aircraft mechanics field but, has yet to talk to an AF recruiter. I've suggested that he watch the videos on the different jobs and make a list of the ones that he has an interest in and make an appt with the recruiter. He has already taken the ASVAB and scored pretty good -eligible for any job according to the Marine and Navy recruiter!! He made Eagle scout this year and I've been telling him that he may be able to enlist as an E3 (is that correct?) Any recruiter suggestions fo
    r Tucson, AZ? Keep up the good work. -AF vet 72 -76.

      Eagle Scout will get him E-2. We’re always looking for mechanics so he shouldn’t have a problem finding something in that field. If he has any questions, lemme know.

    I've got a few questions and I'm hoping you could help me out(nothing to do with ties):
    1. Do you know where Services deploys to? (Tried finding info online)
    2. Do you know anyone from Diet Therapy? Do they like it?
    3. For E-4 Do you NEED to before a board? Or does it happen automatically?
    Thanks for any info you can spare.

    • @Jodywithawhy
      @Jodywithawhy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      1. Services can deploy anywhere we are currently deployed. So that can be a multitude of places. And it all depends on what base you’re assigned. Different bases do things differently. So you really wouldn’t know until you join.
      2. I don’t know anyone from that career field, but it’s a highly desired job. Very limited job openings though, so keep that in mind.
      3. E-4 doesn’t do a board. You just wait for time. It’s anywhere 28 or 36 months depending on how many stripes you start with, or whether you did a 4 or 6 year contract. I made a video explaining the benefits of a 6 year contract. You can watch that to understand. th-cam.com/video/88oVyciP0yE/w-d-xo.html

    Are there specific jobs in the air force that will let you go to college and if so what are they

    • @Jodywithawhy
      @Jodywithawhy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All jobs in the Air Force will allow you to go to college, and all of our training you will receive college credits just for completing.

      @@Jodywithawhy thanks for the help and also dose the college I would like to go to matter?

    • @Jodywithawhy
      @Jodywithawhy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well our tuition assistance only pays up to $4,500 a year and $250 a semester hour. So if the school is more expensive than that, you’d have to cover the additional money. You do have a bunch of schools that understand our tuition assistance, and they offer classes that match our benefits. So when you get in, you just get with the education office on base, and find schools that work for you.

      Ok. Got it. You still have a lot of time. What I would recommend is the next time you see the recruiter at the school, let them know you’re interested and start a relationship.
      Then when you’re in your junior year of high school and turn 17, that’s when you can officially start the process of joining. Until then just get familiar with lifestyle, benefits and basic training research. That way when it’s finally time, you’re totally prepared.

    Has the Air Force seen any superstar/world class athletes feet? Lebron James, Michael Jordan etc. My feet look nothing like their’s but I have bunions and they disqualified me from Meps even though I was the most fit in my class and could do every movement they asked. I’m in the process of getting a waiver but I don’t believe I should have to

    • @Jodywithawhy

      It’s like that sometimes. I had a super in shape girl disqualified before because she had a shoulder injury from softball. One of the most in shape girls I met, and the DQ’d her. Blew my mind. But it’s like that sometimes. I hope your situation works out bro. Good luck.
