    It’s actually a good thing you came into the Air Force later in your 20s Makenna. Because by then, you were able to emotionally mature which is something a lot of airmen fresh out of high school haven’t done, thus why they screw up in tech school.

    Nice haha 😂. You guys still have 341s. Went through basic and tech school in 78. Same problems. What is wrong with people!? 🤦‍♂️. Shepard AFB. Way too hot 🥵 or way too cold 🥶. 😂
    Side note. We used to have beer and cigarette machines in the dorms. Not to mention airmen clubs. No phases. Talk about setting up young kids to fail who just left home. I couldn’t believe what I saw. It’s all about maturity.

      When I attended technical school in the summer of 1979 at Keesler AFB, Mississippi, I got to stay in the dorm at the Triangle (so named because of its three-sided locality). The airman’s club was located there, as was the movie theater, shoppette, post office, recreation center, and coffeehouse that was operated by the base chapel. I returned in 1980 for my five-level school and in 1992 had returned to Keesler where the NCO Academy was situated. I returned to the Triangle and found it deserted; some of the dormitory buildings were converted to warehouses. The Triangle was so deserted that I could have shot off a cannon and not hot nobody. Truth.

    Each location has little differences to the AFI. They cant take away the rules but they will add onto it and make it more strict. So talk to an MTL to know.

    • @Laura-pz6tr
      @Laura-pz6tr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Honestly the best method is the carwash (rotating through the showerheads, works best for Alcatraz). If you want to wash your hair just have the shampoo in your hair before walking into the shower.

    Glad to see you brought up underage drinking, and excessive drinking. This is a very serious issue and can ruin a person's career before it can even get started.
    Hearing about making sure everyone is the same in appearance brought back memories of my years in New London. There were times when swabs were expected look the same. Swabs had to learn quickly to make a decision on what to wear and work together to make sure everyone had what they needed. There were also times where you got to tell swabs what they were going to wear, and you would inspect them to make sure they complied.

    Comment on class/not paying attention. This depends on how long your tech school is and how far you are in your school as well. The closer you get to graduating there is lee way because you have put in a ton of classroom hours passed a bunch of tests and your instructors know they have lectured you to death. My class were all phase 4 at sheppard in 2007, com-nav avionics.

And what’s this about not leaving things plugged in. Also we didn’t have to be in uniform, PT was a joke, but that was just my experience. Every base and squadrons different. What is "too drunk"? ? I mean do they have a particular BAC? I know there is one if you are actually driving. Is it falling over, passed out needing help what? Also do they have what is known as medical amnesty? Basically, this is when school, states whatever have rules that say that if a person seeks medical assistance for themselves/another person who is in medical destress due to drugs or alcohol they will not get in trouble ( In cases where it is the law that means arrested and/or charged. This is basically to keep people from literally dying because they or their friends are too afraid to seek medical assistance,
