The first rock scape, must of the rock was 2 months matured and had one big rock that was 5yrs. Then I changed the rock and now all the rock is 5yr old matured rock given by a fellow reefer that left the hobby.
I got the same return I see you got the flow generator what size is it and brand also where can I get the extension size. How long did you wait until you added the anemones..? Thanks
From personal experience, they need to be very happy. Very stable water parameters, very good lighting such as the ai she uses here. Kessils are my personal preference. But everything she does in this video is a perfect example. Follow her guide and it will be successful!
Honestly, I think it's a mystery and no one knows for sure. I actually like a more stringy anemone but in the 3 years I have them, mine always stay with full round bubbles and very short tip, it's like a bouquet of nipples. My water parameters aren't actually staple either, it's a 30 gal pretty overstocked with corals and can use up to 4 dkh/day and no auto dosing so my alkalinity can fall down to 8 and then jump straight up to 12-13 when I dose it, same with calcium could range anywhere from 300-450, and I change the water only once a month.
I have a fluvol 13.5 that has been running for 6 months now. Can I add an anemone to the tank? My fear of anemones is that it will sting my acans, zoas, and digitada. Also I heard when an anemone dies it can release toxins that can nuke a nano fish tank. What would you recommend for me?
What is the ingredients on your raw shrimp I’ve been looking at packs to feed my nems but I don’t know about the sodium tripolyphosphate if they was safe for the nems
What is the secret to keeping a mixed anenome tank? I have rainbows and when I add green nems they slowly shrink up..? The water params are good. I am going to try carbon.
Symbiotic relationships are the best part of having a reef, anothe cool relationship is the walking dendro coral, it has a peanut worm inside and frags coral around for food
Bud you have no idea what this woman does for free products. She can’t give you a good review because companies give her free products for sucking 🍆 go watch coralgal at least she is sexy lol.
I have a rose and tomorrow I’m picking up a Chicago bta….. I’m so nervous about mixing them. But I don’t think I could get the rose out without killing it.
Hey do you have any information regarding putting 2 anemones in the same tank, I see your doing great. I have a yellow green bubble tip currently and have another one green with orange tips, I'm thinking about putting in same tank buy research has spooked me a little bit
You should be ok, make sure both anemone are healthy and your tank parameters are stable as well as having a good filtration. I would suggest to put the new Anemone not right beside the other but maybe in another rock. Give them plenty of space.
@@jameswithers3066 I actually had 3 anemones in the same tank and they never showed any signs of stress. What I did to be safe was add a small 10 gallon sump, changed my carbon once a week and ran my small protein skimmer. They tend to move when water parameters aren't as stable as they'd like, but I'd go for it and just keep an eye on them.
The general idea behind CW is that it’s just there to appeal to your liking. I would only run UV half of what RY, B and V is as it isn’t really beneficial since UV is just a lower spectrum of V and can melt your lens. Also keep in mind CW is a blend of all spectrum colors, so you may get algae growth with it.
What are the green ones? On the left side?? Look like green and kind of green blue. Any small ones you mite be interested in selling? Possible one green. I really like them beautiful or where can I buy one? What are the green ones called? Subbing love your channel!
Careful with the random flow generator. One of my nems climbed up the back of the tank and got its foot stuck in it. It survived because I noticed immediately but if I didn’t it could have crashed the tank.
Just found your channel. Really cool, hit that sub quick, I'm really into smaller tanks myself been reefing for nearly 17 years. So I like the challenge.
Beautiful setup! I have a Waterbox 50 Lagoon that's been setup for just over a year now and I will be converting to 100% anemone tank... Starting the research for it now... What is a good first BTA to put in there that is nice but won't break the bank? Yes I know the hobby isn't cheap but since it's the first anemone going in, I want a hardy BTA that if there is an issue, I won't cry about it so much lol
When it comes to BTAs there’s not many cheap options. You could go with a standard green BTA which appear a dark green color. They tend to run about $50. Other than that you are looking at $100 plus for RBTAs, WBTAs and so on.
@@waddlesonjr6999 thanks for the reply... I'm working on clearing out some dino issues now that I figured out what was causing it... Once that's cleared and everything is stable for a bit, I will start to add them!
Nice tank! Running a 20 long with hang on back aquaclear and jebao SLWs with anemone guards and varied flow. Aquaclear with overflow box so Anemone don’t get in to siphon. OceanRevive light. 7 ultra rainbows, 1 yellow ultra, 1 neon Orange, 1 neon ultra rainbow. 16-20 rock flowers. About 1-2” sandbed and lots of live rock. Zoas, Palys, ricordea, rodactis mushrooms. Emerald crabs, peppermint shrimp, lots of different snails, hermits.
What pump do you use for water changes?
That blue colored bubble tip looks amazing!!😍
Hi,
Where can I find the link to your lighting schedule?
how do you deal with algae bloom? Your tank is absolutely stunning. Brava and I look forward to seeing more.
Yeah that’s a great question after 1 year later.
You’re inspiring me to set up a nano anemone (nanomone tank)!! Can’t wait to see the sexy shrimp in the tank.
Hoping my LFS get some this weekend ☺️
How mature was the tank before adding the anemones?
The first rock scape, must of the rock was 2 months matured and had one big rock that was 5yrs. Then I changed the rock and now all the rock is 5yr old matured rock given by a fellow reefer that left the hobby.
Awesome video Patty!
Thank you 😊
How come you dose beneficial bacteria? Is it true that you can't really over dose your tank on BB? Beautiful tank!
It’s true, no such thing as too much
If you kept this tank running as your main anemone tank would you have changed anything? Getting a 25 Peninsula soon!
I got the same return I see you got the flow generator what size is it and brand also where can I get the extension size. How long did you wait until you added the anemones..? Thanks
So I’m kinda working on a tank like this and I wanted to ask you, how did you get your anemones to bubble like that ?
From personal experience, they need to be very happy. Very stable water parameters, very good lighting such as the ai she uses here. Kessils are my personal preference. But everything she does in this video is a perfect example. Follow her guide and it will be successful!
Oh yeah and stay meticulous with water changes.
Pretty much what Eric said 🙂

It seems the link for the lighting schedule is not working. Do you have an alternative one?
How long do you run your lights
Ramp up starts around 9-10am and ramp down around 6pm and lights go off at 11pm
@@HerNanoReefs you only need 6. Anything more is overkill
@@HerNanoReefsHay Patty, is there a new link for your lighting schedule? The one in the comments does not work. 🙏🏼

How long you can put the anemone after cycling your tank??
I have a few anemones and they quickly lost their bubbles!!! Could it be that my flow is high?
