@@logda6836 we're able to move the camera to any angle instantaneous using TAS, so that's not an issue. There's no reason we ever *need* zoom, it's just for visual presentation - we don't actually use it much

to people who dont understand why he didnt die in the goo: msushi did a vid on the bug but essentialy you get godmode during the cutscene and because it technically never ends youll have godmode for the rest of the game
You forgot to explain which cutscene! It's the cutscene when GLaDOS wakes up, which you end early by standing on the incinerator. The game gives you godmode during cutscenes to make sure you can't die in the middle of them. Since this cutscene didn't actually end, you keep godmode, and it's maintained between levels.

It is so cool to see the culmination of what I imagine is unbelievable amounts of work. The sheer amount of dedication the Portal 2 speedrunning community has is astonishing. To think about all the glitches that have been discovered and all the time and effort put in to understand and make use of the inner workings of the game is something to crazy. Incredible work.
The thing with an any% tas, is that the majority of it would be just saving and loading out of bounds to fly to loading boxes. It would be boring to TAS and boring to watch.
@@dord3298 it may be "boring to watch" for an average viewer, but there is still a demand to see portal 2 as fast as possible, and I know that I would personally be willing to work on an any% TAS. The tools in their current state would have to be reworked in order to better support TASing with SLA, but I believe that sometime within the next few years there might be an any% TAS released.
So at the end I noticed the timer and neurotoxin were still on. Is that normal, or did skipping the cores cause it to be left on? Related note, glados says killing you is hard when she literally just had you unconscious and could've gassed you at any point. She had at least long enough to completely fix things, so that suggests she had more than the 5 or so minutes neurotoxin apparently takes.
