Da Costa is really good..I see his contribution in almost all games. Matt’s defensive awareness is awesome…hope Your team achieves better position this season.
15:34: Exhibit B *Matt Sheldon is not to be messed with* : Here we see a string of plays showcasing the defensive prowess of Matthew Sheldon, the man mountain right back of FC Tulsa. Here in the first play, we see why many people refer to him as Magnetic Matt. Not only because of his ability to attract women but because every ball that nears the FC Tulsa box finds their way to the foot of the man magnet as the ball deflects off of him for a corner. You might think, "a corner could be dangerous, it is the 85th minute after all", well, if you did, you are FOOLISH. You forgot that the Tenacious Thirteen still craves blood (alternative for balls but that's not appropriate) , as we see him roaming the box looking for his next prey. And, as soon as the ball finds its target, so does the Tulsa truck. Player 1 takes a thunderous shot at goal, but if I were to describe that as thunderous, I'd have to describe the block as "raining flaming arrows" as the Lincoln High School jock shows Achilles why his heel was never a weakness.
I was there ! The last few minutes were crazy, Matt was literally shaking at the end of the 90. Finally got to meet and talk to him, super grateful he made time after the game.
Love these analysis vids because I also play defense/CB I usually never go up unless we are down 1 and game is almost over or I communicate with my teammates to fill my spot so I can push up but love these because it helps me learn from the higher level of soccer than I’m playing now and what things I should be looking for and what I can do to be better, keep up the work Matt💪🏽you killing it
really nice job analysing your performance bro. i learn a lot every time. you've got an insanse pace bro. when you track back, its a joy! i also see what you mean about being on the same page with your mates. its really in the details and how you bounce back .
Good game last night. I look forward to seeing you play more. Quick question do you have video of drills for beginners? If not inthink that type of video would be really helpful. Again good game and look forward to seeing more.
Good question, he does have videos like that, if you're just starting out you want to focus on the simple stuff and then build up so you don't get to overwhelmed I have a couple videos on my channel also but if you look at his page he should have some!
Wished I could have gone to this game, I'm from the rgv actually I'm like 20 minutes away from the stadium, I'm rgv but would have secretly been cheering for Matt maybe next time🐐
Hey Matt! Great video and analysis once again!!! What programme do you use to transfer the video over to and edit? My matches are filmen but it is private listed on YT, so I want to create clips for my coach to help me progress.
Just a question but at 14:41, wouldn't it have been better if you drive the ball diagonally (into space) a little closer to the 18 then took a left foot shot?
Matt, the only complaint I have really with your game is: I wonder why you hesitate SO much to just play the first touch. In many of your videos I can see you hesitate to play a one touch pass to someone that would have gotten you out of SO many complications, like, immediately. It seems like you feel safer first trapping the ball, then passing, except that first touch really kills your time to pass the ball and get out of trouble. I'd like to see you play one touch passes if you already have the idea of what you want to do. I believe it would take you to a WHOLE new level. You already have the fitness, the skills required for your position.
This is such good question I would love to know that also, I do it because it really helps me understand what I can get better at and sometimes when I watch games on tv I also take notes I was thinking about doing a video on it on my channel.
He's more of a number 10/playmaker and not really the classic 442 winger where it's predominantly a lot of quick 1 2's with your fullback and runs in behind, but good thing Matt and Marlon understood each other and talked about, top players!
You mean if you are training alone? Matt has TONS of videos on individual sessions and even sells programs. I bought his 3x3 program during quarantine and I highly recommend it. Imagining invisible defenders can be fun, but likely not as effective for skill acquisition. You need feedback on the mistakes you make or else you will think that you are better than you actually are.
2:36 marlon was right to want it to his feet in that instance, as a winger nothing is worse than when your player into space with a defender right in front of you, you have no time to react or even pick you head up to find a pass
The positioning and movement (when you had the ball at least) was awful. If you photoshopped out the ball you wouldn't be able to tell if your team was attacking or defending. Why are they guarding the defenders? They might as well be holding hands.
@@shantiescovedo4361 pretty much every time, they are just standing by a defender and moving with them, not moving into space, not providing a good passing angle. And then won't run on to through balls that do happen.

Left foot is ridiculous

Omg you got coutinho Suarez and Garcia in your team 😲:)
It’s so crazy to see you play against some dmv ballers 👀
Well Played
I thought I was watching Andy Robertson😅…Matt is insane 🔥
Good video!
Your entire team but especially the LB plays so tight to the middle of the field.
I love your videos.
I really want to see 7mlc start one day
during away games do Fans travel with you guys like top European leagues .I never seen any away fans till now when i see in youtube
Not usually here in the states its lot different and lower budget great question tho
You deserve to be on an mls team already
Do you write notes on your games

Da costa is too raw
Marlon had a stinker

why Micheal is not playing 😕
What channel can I watch these games on(TV channel)?
Espn +
Hey guys does anyone know 5 dribbling drills and i just practice them everyday, btw im a winger
When is Michael Cunningham gonna play?
Is he wearing the mercurial V boots from 2017?
yeah, I think he said they were his favorite model mercurial
This Da Costa guy is brazilian Matt?
On average how many touches u make per match
Yes won 🏆 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
How is the lineup wrong every time
Matt what is a better training method? Me just pretending I’m a real game and taking on invisible players or doing actual little drills
I say both . improvise in all ways possible if you don't have people to train with
You mean if you are training alone? Matt has TONS of videos on individual sessions and even sells programs. I bought his 3x3 program during quarantine and I highly recommend it. This Looks like the German 4th League (no offense)
