In today's video, I will be sharing some beautiful DIY painted makeovers on several decor pieces. I will also be sharing a few new thrifted and sale decor finds as well as how I rearranged my living room to be all set for an explosion of Fall Decorating! It is Pumpkin Everything season and I am here for it! As an October baby, it is just instilled in my very soul.

Girl, you crack me up! You painted those pumpkins twenty-five times. They look great! I love them. I wish I could paint like you.
😆🎃 Twenty-five is probably accurate. Lol. You can 100% paint like me because I don't do anything special at all. The key is layering, using the cheap chip brushes and creating texture with the thick/gritty paint mixtures. Oh, and letting the layers dry in between coats so they don't mix, unless you want that blended look. 😬 Xoxoxo

I was working on pumpkins the other day. I should have weighed the before and after. I ended up with 7 layers on this 1 little pumpkin 😂😂😂😂. As long as you end up happy, layer it on!!!! I discovered that covering the whole pumpkin with a dark wax, then dry brushing on my final color, it was beautiful. Normally I finish up with the wax. I love experimenting with paint and texture.

I am definitely team orange in the fall. But I like a burnt orange with merlots and rusts. Add some copper and brass and some candles and I am set til after Thanksgiving! Can't wait to see the living room decorated. Loving the entertainment unit on the back wall. Now, let me get in the garage to see what I can paint!!!

Hi Deborah. I love when you post a video...I truly get inspired. Great job on everything but I really love love love the orange pumpkins 😊. I'm still decorating my house for the autumn season too. I have sooo much stuff 😂! I'm enjoying redoing my house but it takes many days to get it done. Sometimes I wish I wasn't that person that changes everything according to what season it is. But living in NJ with its 4 seasons warrants change...at least in my mind 😊. I'm finishing my kitchen, dining room, living room and guest bathroom. Next is the family room, front porch and lawn...and a little in my bedroom. Geez 🤦♀️🤷♀️! Bonus, every year I add more which means buying more large bins for storage. I have so much stuff I forget what's in those bins! Shear madness 😂!!! My daughter says "mom, I'm sure somewhere there is a shoppers anonymous group you can join." Hey, I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't gamble and as I am terrified of heights, I don't fly unless absolutely necessary. So, I decorate! Cheers!! Blessings to you sweet lady! God bless!!! ❤❤

My favorite season is fall! Everything you painted turned out Gorgeous. I wish I could paint like you. Gosh I just LOVE EVERYTHING. You did a great job making the pumpkins look like cement and I lived them but when you did the orange OMG, Stunning!! I made the pumpkin topiary about 5 years ago. I'd love to do what you have done to yours, Im just afraid I'd mess them up.

I failed to mention that I thought both of the ways you did the pumpkins looked amazing...they would have been perfect in the right decor style either way. I also liked it that you showed the different moss looks to give your viewers ideas...this is honestly one of the best fall diy video's that I have seen this year.

We have some pumpkins in we’ve had for several years, maybe 10, that we have been wanting to make into topiary’s but didn’t know how. While as usual, your entire video was beautiful and informative, i really appreciated you showing how you made your topiary’s! Thanks for that.
Loved your stacked pumpkins....what a great idea on making them instead of purchasing expensive premade ones! I tend to stick with the traditional Autumn colors of orange, brown and copper in decorating for this season. ~ Blessings

Thank you so much! I can't believe it has taken me this many years to buy a lazy Susan... 😆 Why? Idk. I am still experimenting with products. I want to try so many new ones out there, but they get pretty expensive. When I'm painting, I'm in my happy place. 🙂🎨 So glad you liked the owl and pheasants. Love the 2 tables that flank the fireplace. Just gorgeous. On the pumpkin topiaries, honestly, I like them before with the white green pumpkin on top as the favorite color combination and thought you might paint the other two the same way. But then after seeing them painted with the orange brown, it just goes so much better in your home. You have a talent for painting and nestling in pieces you pick up for a song and make over into amazing. Great job!

I loved the gray, concrete look on the pumpkins and I confess that I didn't understand why you were messing with perfection.🤔😊 Then, they were orange and even more gorgeous!💞 The birds, the containers, the pumpkins are all stunning! I'm loving the look of your living room, too! Thank you so much for the inspiration, Deborah!⚘ Oh! I have a helpful hint for those of us who use paint in the plastic jars with screw-on lids. Put a thin layer of Vaseline around the outer part of the jar where the screw-on ridges are. Afterwards the paint shouldn't collect there and harden to the point where you are banging and prying on the lids to remove them when you need to use the paint. If at some point in time it begins to become too gunky, I've wiped mine off and reapplied the Vaseline. Thanks again, Deborah!🍁🎃🍂

Beautiful work whatever way you decide you want them to be. Those topiaries were stunning. You should do what you love not what others choose. I always love seeing your painting techniques and creations. Those finds were amazing...the tables and the little watering can were the best.

I really liked those pheasants. I have a few pieces that I might try it with. I also have a concrete owl that I've had about 40 yrs that stays outside that needs some work. I do that stuff outside as I have nowhere to make a big mess inside. It's going to have to cool off a bit for me to get too enthused , but I will. Great stuff. Enjoy watching your techniques, too.

I love the painting. The pumpkins look so much better in the orange color. It just looks so pretty and is the essence of fall. Fall and winter are my favorite time of year. It's harder to do the warmer colors when it's so hot and humid.

As I got my fall decor and linens out today, I thought to myself, WWDD? What Would Deborah Do? So, when I saw this video, I was very excited to see these painting projects, especially the thrifted items you upcycled. Personally, I prefer my pumpkins orange, but I like the chippy concrete look as well. Thanks for sharing these projects, and happy fall, y'all!

Argh...the angst of painting and then deciding to go another direction. I like what you ended with. I did some similarly, but my living room is navy and beige, so I did mine in turquoise, gray blue and cream with antiquing gel. I love how they turned out, and I used leaves to fill the gaps. I found some older small urns to put them on top of, and they really turned out cute. I wish I had done mine in the baking soda / grout texture, but hey, we can always REPAINT!! 😂😂

the small pumpkins look good at the grey stage. The orange was a good choice also...in my opinion.
