“Welcome to the Salty Spitoon, how tough are ya?” “I gave my space marines a legion emblem on his pauldron.” “Ya, so?” “I drew it free-hand.” “Oh, right this way. Sorry to keep you waiting.”
"You didn't let me finish. I did it for a whole 2000 point army." "I see... I'll be off then, here are the keys. The moonshiners come by every 3rd Sunday at the stroke of midnight. Remember to pay the landlady, but don't let yourself get seduced by her, she'll only break your heart."
The first time I’ve actually seen a 3rd Legion Marine that actually looks like one. Also, just the small curve to the sword you added made it look so much better.
Beautiful , I really like that face and your customization. I'm not bad mouthing your plasma pistol choice , but I would have gone with green to "clash" with the purple .
Really cool to see you come back to this series with a fresh start!! Looks really cool so far and, with some personal bias, can't wait for your new Night Lords!
This is an astounding work, it's incredible that wasn't necessary any heavy work or finding strange pieces, pratically it was, except for the GS, a conversion possible with spare parts that everyone has in his bit box👍
Not sure if you have already filmed the others but an untapped potential of usable heads for marines is actually age of sigmar, I got the idea from white dwarf but its actually clever they have alot of long hair models that might make your job easier (Especially if you look in the choas side) Love the model though!
For anyone who wants to use 3rd part bits, the Puppetswar winged shoulderpads are a fantastic fit for EC, i used them myself for some special characters and a command squad.
You know, I bet the heads from the new Amazons Blood Bowl kit would be brilliant for making Emperor's Children without having to model your own hair out of green stuff.
This is amazing! a great show case of what the Emperors Children should've looked like in their prime. Would love to see a Thunder Warrior conversion, I am thinking of making a 500pt list of them and would love to see how you would handle it.
What rules are you intending to use for that? If I'm understanding things correctly, one Thunder Warrior is equivalent to a big handful of Space Marines in terms of power!
@@danioshea I was just thinking of using them as proxy primaris marines for a bit of flavour. Though I have seen a few custom rules for them which have peeked my interest.
A good head for Emperor's Children is the long haired head from the ETB Chaos Warrior's kit, in fact as much as I hate those bare heads for Chaos Warriors, I picture them being more bearded, a lot of them make great heads for traitor guardsmen or cultists, heads like the one with the lips shriveled back especially, but really any of the heads would work, and to be honest I find most of the traitor guard heads to be a bit lackluster, most of them just look like normal disheveled Guard.
This is amazing!! The hair, tabard, and chest fitting are all amazing conversion works, and that freehand is envious. My only true critique would be the face. I think the reikland settled too much in the cheeks, making him look guant faced and a little grizzled, as opposed to a beautiful warrior-artist
OOoo! I used many of the same blood angels bits when converting my warband! they split off from the emperor's children not long after the heresy and share similar asthetics to their heresy era armor. I picked up many of these same paints prepping to paint them, but they are still sitting in storage.
Been looking forward to this! Hope the White Scars guide avoids using the Ko'sorro Khan kit, lots of guides for using it on TH-cam so hoping for something different!
Hey. Thanks a ton! The hair thing waa waaaaay easier than I thought it would be. It looks cool on my mini. Realy makes the whole squad into emperor children. Plus, I also had that very spare pauldron from the death company. 😂 THANKS!!
Love the idea of this series. I really like the look of the technique used here, the Emperor's Children are incredibly hard to get a decent looking purple, might try this out. Also a really excellent conversion captures the legion perfectly.
I really like the colour you picked for the plasma coils. I dont mind that people choose red, blue, green, etc. but a copper colour feels more sci-fi like. Ill be using that for my Guard plasma guns.
Amazing result! Also great to see some Richard Grey in there! Been thinking of either doing my army that way, or just buy an airbrush. Would love to see a non-metallic early, indigo AL scheme ala Legion cover whenever you get to the XXth, since everywhere else people do the metallic ones.
Did you know the Emperor's Children were the first space marines to ever use the Aquila following the Proxima Betrayal where they saved the Emperor's life from an assassination attempt during the supposed surrender ceremony of the Proximans

If you don't mind 3d printing thatevilone does great heresy emperor's children iirc
Perfect conversion. You even added real metal balls to the tabard strips!
I do like me some balls
Balls of steel
😂
You had me at "PRETTIEST Space marines"
I love this, he’s one green stuff cape away from being his own praetor, this is wonderful how simple it seems, thank you Pete
This is absolutely gorgeous. I'm blown away by the hair sculpting.
Very excited to see Iron Warriors next.
I know you've just done Emperor's Children... But a Lucius the Eternal kitbash would be amazing.
You and a few other TH-camrs got me into starting. Just wanted to say Thank you
Beautiful , I really like that face and your customization. I'm not bad mouthing your plasma pistol choice , but I would have gone with green to "clash" with the purple .
This is so impressive. Yet you make it look kinda achieveable for plebs like me. Thanks
Sweet conversion. EC player myself. that hair looked ace and has inspired me to have a go myself!
I can't wait for the Iron Warriors. I love the 4th, they're my favorite HH legion.
Iron within brother

Your videos are what inspired me to actually start painting my first army! My Night Lords are looking fresh!
I really like the copper coil idea for the plasma, it kind of makes a bit more sense, and is as nice to me, and easier :D
Huh. That paint case actually looks pretty neat.
Really cool to see you come back to this series with a fresh start!! Looks really cool so far and, with some personal bias, can't wait for your new Night Lords!
Looking forward to the day you do the Thousand Sons! Also love this mini, absolutely gorgeous.
Pete the Wargamer: sculptor, painter, hairstylist.
The model looks great! Thanks for sharing.
This is a really good emperor's children marine.
dude, your conversions are getting better and better with each video
Your conversion is so beautiful
This is an astounding work, it's incredible that wasn't necessary any heavy work or finding strange pieces, pratically it was, except for the GS, a conversion possible with spare parts that everyone has in his bit box👍
Great sense of drama, this really looks like how I thought a emperors children astartes would look

Love the model though!

What I am liking about the new Horus Heresy stuff it it's much easier to find models without aquillas on them.
The level of tiny detail on this build is insane! Nice work!
What an amazing display of artistic skill! The dimensions of the figure look so much better than the art one often sees.

When his face was painted, but hair was still black. He kinda looked like Tommy Wiseau.
"Oh hi Fulgrim"
I loved that case so much I just ordered it. It'll do a nice job in keeping my stuff in order.
Pretty cool Emperor's Children marine guide my friend
Ooob that stiplling effect is nice for building up colour on the flat areas!
Most impressive hair sculpting. Surprised you didn't just get a Stormcast head.
Fabulous!!! Eager to see your take on the Thousand Sons...

Love the vid Pete! Would love to see what you do to adapt the Mark VI for word bearers! ^^
Can we have the next one already 😂 great work as always
Happy I got to see this early. Great conversion 🙏
Great stuff! Can't wait to see how you're going to kit-bash the rest of the legions.
Even being an Iron hands Player I must admit this model looks great and well detailed
Don’t get a’head’ of yourself
quite
love the green stuff work/tips. can't wait to try out to touch up my marines, thank you!
any EC or slaanesh conversions are appreciated ur stuff is great.
Soo damn good man loved the painting guide as well something really cool about it!
My man be making better custom models with existing kits than gw does from scratch.

This conversion is great!
Great work on the hair! Hair is tough to sculpt
finally pete comes back with his master works. I need him for Alpha Legion, I don't know what to use for power daggers
You could represent with a variety of small knives perhaps from the guard extras?
@@zackcook5123 which guard kit has knives?
Great, and I like the way you painted the armour! Going to try that myself.
Hey Pete, I really enjoy watching your conversions and wanted to say thank you. I used a few of your Tips to convert some Centurios to Obliterators.
This is a perfect way to make a sergeant with artificer armor that looks like it.
Soo happy... Because this means Iron Warriors are next!
Not an emperors children fan?
Loving these conversion AND painting videos for the Horus heresy
Hey. Thanks a ton! The hair thing waa waaaaay easier than I thought it would be. It looks cool on my mini. Realy makes the whole squad into emperor children.
Plus, I also had that very spare pauldron from the death company. 😂
THANKS!!
Got me hanging on the edge of my seat waiting for you to tackle our glorious Iron bois 😂
I cannot wait for the WS video, great series so far
That was GREAT! I very much look forward to the rest of the series, especially the Death Guard, my favorite.
Love the idea of this series.
I really like the look of the technique used here, the Emperor's Children are incredibly hard to get a decent looking purple, might try this out. Also a really excellent conversion captures the legion perfectly.
Apparently the new luxion purple contrast is pretty good
That’s the best Mickey Rourke mini I’ve ever seen
Exceptional freehand work!
I might steal this to make some better proportioned Sang Guard. Thanks
👏🏼 Stunning! would love to see an imperial fist conversion like this
Thank you , Pete .
🐺

Man, both of these have been so good! I can’t wait until we get to my favorite chapter, The Salamanders! I hate that they’re so far back though.
Amazing result! Also great to see some Richard Grey in there! Been thinking of either doing my army that way, or just buy an airbrush. Would love to see a non-metallic early, indigo AL scheme ala Legion cover whenever you get to the XXth, since everywhere else people do the metallic ones.
Sprue glue, the new green stuff!
Looks pretty incredible!
Thats just Saul Tarvitz!
I can just imagine an army of this model with the new praetor, eilidon and fulgrim
Did you know the Emperor's Children were the first space marines to ever use the Aquila following the Proxima Betrayal where they saved the Emperor's life from an assassination attempt during the supposed surrender ceremony of the Proximans
Amazing video just like the Dark Angels one, looking forward to the next!
Great conversion, I'd love to see you do heresy-era dark angels next!
... I forgot you already did that...
Yes this is what I've been looking forrrrrr
Can't wait to see you do night lords. Ave Dominus Nox
Enjoyed this one very much.
You are just so good, man. Great job.
Wow just amazing man, good work.
Another great conversion done 🇦🇺👍🏻
Now that's what I call a Fabulous Bile.
amazing painting job loved this video so much I had to subscribe
Whoa there. As a Blood Angels player I find this offensive. Ain't no one prettier than my boys.
PS Great content as always. 👍
Great Video! I'm going to have to try some of those green stuff techniques :)
Glorious locks.
Pete please I need the iron warriors.
(The faster we get the lame legions out of the way, the faster we get the Luna wolves)
Man, if you were shooting for the prettiest space marines, you got it super wrong, because that paint scheme doesn't look like blood angels at all
I think it would be amazing if you made an angry marine conversion
I use the charcoal powder from grilling on my minis for the dust
I’m gonna be waiting a while to see thousand sons aren’t I?
Awesome, love it.
Such perfection......
I hope we'll get Horus Heresy-era Death guard or Thousand sons!
Awesome video, love the work and it maybe just me but this guys face reminds me of Gary Busey in Predator 2 , lions tigers and bears oh my. Lol
Your work is incredible! Can you make a loyalist Fulgrim?
Hey Pete the Wargamer. Would you be able to show us how you did your Stalingrad bases on your winter German tutorial?
