I love the horus heresy era Dark Angels. Along with the Night lords, Raven Gaurd, Alpha Legion, and Iron Warriors they make up my top 5 favorite legions
people can honestly use the new HH's corvus armor models to make a Fallen army. I mean, a bit of kitbashing, chaos backpacks and tidbits here and there, maybe green stuff in some stuff like coats and hoods, etc...You'd get yourself pretty nice, up-to-date looking Fallen marines :V. You should do a Fallen kitbash with these new HH models, I mean, heck this looks pretty good already.
I've been following you for years till this point, and I can say that the quality of your videos has improved quite a lot. I really like the format used in this one. Keep up with the good work! Can't wait for the rest of the Legions!
I would love to see you convert the standarrd Cataphractii Terminator into one of the specialized ones like a Spacewolf Varagyr or an Iron Warriors Dominator Cohort.
14:18 you seem to have painted spot highlights one the rubbery bits between the armor plates. Because the are horizontal cilinders, those would have a horizontal shape instead of a vertical one.
Just like that the thumbnail's 'video preview' is all stirring spaghetti thanks to your sponsor. I'll be sure to cover my Dark Angels in some carby goodness - they're big boys, gotta eat good.
Really looking forward to this series! As an iron warriors player, that should be a particularly easy conversion: step one is to trade your mkVI marine for a mkIII. Step two is to assemble and paint your iron warrior :)
Again a simple but very effective paintjob, but I also love the paintjob, it is easy to reproduce on an entire army and it gives a lot of interest to metallics parts and black
Here from your kind (and informative) comment on Tom Scott's video. Awesome video, I've subscribed and am looking forward to more WH40K and WH HH content.
@@PeteTheWargamer Most excited my friend. Also been meaning to thank you for the frost weapon techniques been loving those on my wolf lord and Murderfang
Everything is about this video is amazig! The conversion is simple and effective, the tutorial is stellar, and the cherry on top is the music choice at the showcase. Great work!
Gotta say this is great. In my mind, and on a Cypher model, i choose to lighten up Coal Black for highlight color. I gave my painting a hint of green, as if Dark Angel armor was green-based black paint. Blue is nice as a highlight of black, if you imagine reflections from a clear blue sky.
My favourite boys in black! Would be nice to see some character conversions too if you have time at the end of the project. I'm sure we'd love to see a Corswain model.
I was in three minds about how to go about painting my Dark Angels, with my original plan being scuppered by doing vehicles; this seems like a much more effective way to do them! :)
Nice work! Good showcase for Monument paints as well; I have some of these and I've loved using them so far, but there's a couple in this video I haven't tried. Definitely going to get a bottle of that blue black now. Really looking forward to seeing more in this series, especially when you get to Iron Warriors and Death Guard.
Great video man, what a good paint job as well. May I say I've always wanted to see a diorama of some DKOK troops with a Tyranid or some kind of monster that's been captured, but at the end of the day it's just a thought.
Sometimes I wish you could “more than like” videos. Like, Facebook did one thing right and it’s the ability to tell someone “maaan, this vid weren’t just good, it was MAGNIFICENT
My guy have you thought of using these models to make a black templar vibe crusador squad I believe it can be done and your the only one I can think that can thinker enough to make a simplified tutorial
What do you mean? Black legion was called Sons of horus beforehand and before that they were called luna wolves after their victory in capturing the moon on the start of the great crusade and before that they were just the XVI th legion lol
I know but i just said so and its not like wrong gramatically or anything luna wolves belonged to Horus so of Horus same as Mankind belongs to the emperor hence the emperor of man lol
I really enjoyed that, makes a huge difference for players and their legions who do not really identify with the Mk VI armor. I am really torn settling for Night Lords or Raven Guard, so I am looking forward to those. I wonder what twist you will give to the Raven Guard Mk VI, as it is already right down their alley!
Hey , love your kitbash videos . I used to collect a long time ago , massive space wolf army plus a home brew successor chapter called the ice fangs . Also nekrons were my favourite thing to convert , so many options . As someone with a very limited budget , are there any models for either space wolves or nekrons they you would recommend for a one off painting challenge to see if I still have the skills ? . Not won any major competitions but placed in a few so I kind of know what I'm doing but always glad to learn new skills . Thanks in advance and keep the awesome conversions coming .
Dark angels are just the best they are so cool thanks for this video its great as always also I most ask what happens to all the models you have kitbashed do you put them on a shelf to admire, do you use them in your armies, do you give them to friends, or do you just toss them when your done?
For the fists kitbash (if you give that brother a shield) why not add some hazard stripes? It’ll reference the fact that they are rivals against the iron warriors
Hey mate, loving the content, any chance could you could do a painting tutorial for Australian bolt action figures, i am using the army painter range and finding it hard to get the closest colour scheme.
can you link where you get your tools and brushes and your mini saw? I recently started and all I have are a few knives files and a mat that came with a gundam kit I got from a local store
I wanna see how you would do Horus Heresy Space Wolves! There’s a lot of aesthetics to them, and not sure how I would do it with the new models (or old)!
This is amazing! thank you so much Pete- I know exactly how to paint my new HH marines now! Could I please ask what music you used for the conclusion? It really worked well with the reveal. Thank you!
I know you already did white scars long ago but if you could re do them and try to paint a white metallic like in some of the art that would be a new way to paint white scars
I play both and i didnt even think about using the grey knights heads... I feel kinda dumb. But all is well, i will be ready once the box falls in my hands.
These could also double as a Fallen army guide. As they continue to use the same iconography in 40k.
Love the fallen
I'm doing similar for my NL army. 30k and 40k isn't too far off from each other in terms of style if you omit Chaos.
@@TheDace79 That is great... oh Asmodai.
@@logosofgame4273 "AsmoDDDAAAAAI!!... he's in cahoots with the Fallen!"
How would you do the broken sword symbol?

Hello fellow warden
Iron warriors really start to look like servitor SM.
I was JUST thinking 'man I need another Pete video soon' man do you have good timing.
Commander Wargamer, these new troops look very well trained well done. FOR THE EMPEROR!
Perfect man, this gives me so many ideas. Can’t wait to do my 30k exiles of caliban. Always a pleasure to watch
Excellent timing and excellent work! Super excited to see the rest of the Legions! Especially Iron Warriors and World Eaters!
Do you think he'll do World Eaters again after he already did the box?
For The Lion!!!
Thanks as always, Pete!

glad this series is back for the Heresy setting
YES YES YES! Thank you so much Pete. The first Legion are easily my favorite of the legions, due to their knightly/monk nature.
The whole amour and robes man I was obsessed with the Dark angels from them moment I saw one of those robed knights just looks so epic…
@@TheDace79 Exactly! The old DA Veterans kit is easily my favorite set ever. Along with the death wing terminators
I've been following you for years till this point, and I can say that the quality of your videos has improved quite a lot. I really like the format used in this one. Keep up with the good work! Can't wait for the rest of the Legions!
At last, someone painting the Legions in order 🤪 That a great looking mini.
I would love to see you convert the standarrd Cataphractii Terminator into one of the specialized ones like a Spacewolf Varagyr or an Iron Warriors Dominator Cohort.
I love that you painted the sole of the boot the same as the terrain on the base
I'd love to see heresy-era Night Lords and Death Guard, always been my two favorite legions.
14:18 you seem to have painted spot highlights one the rubbery bits between the armor plates. Because the are horizontal cilinders, those would have a horizontal shape instead of a vertical one.
I discovered the channel a couple weeks ago and am so glad to have stumbled on a brand new video. Excellent work as always
Genius idea with the shoulder pads and Ravenwing iconography!
Just like that the thumbnail's 'video preview' is all stirring spaghetti thanks to your sponsor. I'll be sure to cover my Dark Angels in some carby goodness - they're big boys, gotta eat good.
Pete makes this look so good, yet so simple to do.
Really looking forward to this series! As an iron warriors player, that should be a particularly easy conversion: step one is to trade your mkVI marine for a mkIII. Step two is to assemble and paint your iron warrior :)
Even if you dont plan on making a Dark Angels army specifically, this is still a great tutorial on making black.
Useful for Raven Guard too.
As someone who’s been thinking of starting a heresy army, I’m excited to see more from you.
Again a simple but very effective paintjob, but I also love the paintjob, it is easy to reproduce on an entire army and it gives a lot of interest to metallics parts and black
I started a Fallen army a couple months ago. So I appreciate the Heresy era Dark Angels scheme.
I'm about to start a heresy dark angels army with the new box set, so this is just perfect timing 👌
Can’t wait for this series to progress, gonna give some ideas for my loyalist iron warriors
Here from your kind (and informative) comment on Tom Scott's video. Awesome video, I've subscribed and am looking forward to more WH40K and WH HH content.
It would be great to see you do a terminator for each legion coz your work is truly inspiring
Excellent tutorial - simple and effective. Looking forward to seeing your take on the rest of the legions.
Perfect tutorial quick and simple when im about to start Dark Angels for HH.
As someone who is planning on going Dark angels for 30K, this is very helpful!
Now I can’t wait to start building my army from the heresy box!
Would absolutely love to see you kitbash and create an inquisitor and his retinue!
Such a great update to your HH Dark Angels scheme. Cant wait for your updated take on the sons of Russ 🐺🙏
Thank you! It might take me a little while to get around to them but I'm looking forward to tackling the Good Boys!

Thank you , Pete .
🐺
Thank you for showing painting
Really looking forward to seeing how you tackle the Night Lords!
I'd suggest asking a very big space wolf to tackle one myself, you'd be the equivalent of horny small dog humping his Greave .
Was juuuuust thinking how much I loved the heraldry on the Dark Angels legion, what a coincidence...
Administratum Bean counter model leeeets goooooo! 💯💯💯💯💯💯

yet again an absolute masterclass.

When is the next Horus Heresy conversion coming? This one and the Emperors Children one are so good. I'd love to see you finish one for all of them!
Ooh, I only have to wait 12 more legions! I can do that!
can't wait for the horus hersey blood angels and space wolves
Can't wait to see Imperial Fists. Yellow is such a pain.
Awesome job, excited to see the rest of the legions! (Tho it'll be a long wait till we get to my boys the Salamanders)
I would love to see some Rogue Trader-style Crimson Fists beakies made from the new kit! ;)
When you use Vaseline on your modelling Tools. How do you get rid of it Afterwards? Or does the Paint Stick even with the Vaseline (i dont think so?)

Huuurayyy, I love this series
It looks amazing 😉
That was brilliant thank you
Nice!
Are we gonna see a vid on that Vulkan you did?
The heat effect on the hammer was the most amazing bit of painting I've ever seen!
could you also do luna wolves? I know they arent technically part of the heresy but I would love to see them on here.
Id love to see pre primarchs/ great crusade space marines painted and kitbashed as lets say luna wolves of horus dusk raiders etc etc
they wouldn't be luna wolves of Horus then would they?
