I can never be a fan of the current Emperors Children or collect them, because Rylanor isn’t a fan of them and I’d never do anything that would disappoint Rylanor.
I've always wanted to do a space marine army of loyalist Emperor's children who survived the heresy. And theme them around a warband trying to live to yhe legacy of the ancient.
My favorite bit of Rylanor lore is how in his final moments he turned a squad of Thousand Sons loyal, (briefly) fought a Daemon Primarch, denounced Papa Fulgrim, reaffirmed his loyalty to the emperor then went out like a Baller with a virus bomb. A real legend, and I hope he joined the Legion of the Damned to continue his service to Big-E. Amazing model by the way, I love how it's the size of Jen's head.

I really like the lore bit videos you guys do like this! Telling a short story while painting is just fun! And that pose is sick! Im such a sucker for purple on models too, I really like this!

It wouldn’t happen to be a Death Leaper or Norm Emissary, hmmmmm? :P

Can't argue with Legion choice and the great dynamic pose, Jen. I'm just sorry you didn't modify its prey left arm so it'd hang perpendicular to the ground as it should. It would have been the icing on the cake for an otherwise beautiful pose. I have the resin model and I reckon it's a PITA to pose. I had to drill all parts, insert bendable wire to get the pose I wanted like a sculpting armature and gradually lock all elements with superglue.
Great video, I was able to get the Emperor's Children and Relic dreadnoughts after the culling was announced (the Tokyo GW store had tons of EC ones in stock for some reason). I lost interest in painting it after GW killed off contemptors in 40k but this makes me wanna paint them again!
All in for more Horus Heresy even if GW isn't supporting the game like they should. A conversion video showing off 3D printed pieces to make the various infantry unit choices would be so helpful to watch. I really like the Horus Heresy 2.0 but I wish GW would release the other infantry units as box sets or option sets. Units like the recon squad, despoilers, or seeker squads (just to name a few) have great rules but no official plastic models.
I am he who remembers, THE ANCIENT OF RITES. The lost of the amazing resin contemptor kits is got to be up there, I wish when GW announced OOP it wasn't a surprise after things hadn't been restocked for months, but instead had a last run MTO. So posable and look great.

This is definitely a model I would have made a silicone mold for Just that way I could make more copies in the future For other legions and if I have to modify it after it's pulled out of the mould I would not care It would be so worth it
Not a EC fan but it's hard not to like Rylanor and Tarvitz. This has inspired me to finish my FW NL Contemptor and Leviathan. They're built, primed with 1 base coat.
Another great video of my favourite purple boys. One note though, I noticed the broken anvil paints being used. You may want to research the current controversy about them and pin a comment distancing yourselves from them at this time.
