- This is a ship tour of Carnival Legend. Carnival Legend debuted in 2002 and has sailed all over the world. This ship is part of Carnival Cruise Line's Spirit-class of vessels.
In 2019, the ship is spending the summer sailing the waters of Alaska. After the Alaska season is over, Carnival Legend will reposition to Tampa, Florida to sail Caribbean cruises
In 2018, Legend underwent a dry dock to get some upgraded features, but most of the enhancements came in 2015, before the ship was being deployed to Australia. This included the installation of the Green Thunder. This is the freefall waterslide installed on the back of the ship.

The first cruise I ever went on. Really nice staff and decent food for such a cheap cruise.
My favorite memory was sitting in the enchanted forest circular windows in nearly 30 foot seas watching the waves it felt like I was on a rollercoaster.
Most of the staff was nice. The waiters and room stewards were great! The Spa manager Sarah was very mean and rude. Would not recommend the spa. The jewelry stores will grab you in yhe ports , so hold on to your willpower!1

The Pride's Chapel (and Library) were turned into an arcade...not a craft room. We hate the arcade...it is very loud with lots of bright flashing lights...and we have never seen anyone in it when we have wandered by/through it. It is such a disappointing change. We hope the Legend retains the Chapel in it's next dry dock.
Carnival Legend sounds like just the right size ship.....not crowded. Loved the tour.

Linda Tann it us a good size ship. Well laid out, there are plenty of sitting areas and it does have probably the best Serenity deck. Spirit class: Pride, Legend, Miracle & Spirit.
I did this ship for 2 cruises, and I have to say its my favorite of all time, its the right size and has all the best entertainment, love it.

I’m so excited to go on this in February 2023!!! My grandma sailed on this in 2005 I believe, so it’ll be full circle!
I just booked a 10 day cruise on this ship for Dec 2025, I love the smaller/older ships.

I enjoyed this cruise. its more for families and older people. they serve the same stuff everyday, but there is a big variety so you get to try different stuff each day. there is allot of entertainment venues which is fun such as comedy shows, casinos, live music and more.

Had a great time on this ship when it comes to entertainment. The Dancers were amazing and the costumes were awesome. I watched a few shows twice. The karaoke master Oscar was so much fun. The band The Hot Shots were very fun! I loved the music on the ship. Some of the staff was not sure where the stores wer, maybe they wer new. We got lost a few times. But over all, we had fun and Alaska was an amazing state to visit, on a cruise it was even better.

@@CruiseRadio The Legend is not terribly big so that it does not seem crowded like larger Carnival ships; excellent service by crew; plenty of public spaces to explore so, again, one is not oppressed by crowds. Plus, my wife was in a wheelchair and the crew was continually helpful, more than many other ships we have cruised on.

Thank you for the updated 2019 tour. We were on the Legend's sister ships the Spirit in 2011 and the Miracle in 2014 (both Mexican Riviera cruises). We will be sailing on the Legend to Alaska in mid August. It will be our 10th Carnival cruise and we can't wait! Looking forward to that free fall green waterslide too!

@Cruise Radio we’re looking forward to going on a snorkeling adventure in Ketchikan! Of course we’ll be wearing wet suits from head to toe. It will be a different snorkeling experience from what we’ve done in warmer waters!

I love this ship. My wife and I sailed twice on it. The first cruise was from Tampa, Florida and across the Atlantic Ocean to Barcelona, Spain with numerous stop overs on route. The second cruise was from Sydney, Australia across the Pacific Ocean to Vancouver, BC Canada again with numerous stop overs on route.
We had the same balcony cabin on both the cruises. We've sailed with almost all the major cruise lines and on more "stylist" ships than the Legend, however there is something about the Legend that makes us feel much more comfortable.
I forgot that around 2014 Legend was over in AUS. I remember them making a big deal about putting the Green Thunder slide on the ship.

@@CruiseRadio San Juan, St Maarten, St Thomas, Grand Turk. These are all ports we have been to before but no matter as it is the cruise that counts and we will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary on her.

This was very helpful, great tour. I've been on many Carnival ships, but never a spirit class , so it is great to have an idea of how this differs from the other ships I've sailed.

Sailing November 2020. Thank you. I now know what to expect. Sailing out of Tampa. This will be my 2nd cruise on Carnival. I did the Paradise December 2019 and the crew impressed me that I was eager to book another one. I hope the crew is just as amazing as my 1st experience with Carnival.

Legend was a great cruise i went on in January of 2020
Sailed on Legend in 2015 in Australia and now booked on her again sailing solo out of Venice in September 2020. Looks much the same with only cosmetic and some renaming occurred. Going to be great. Thanks for the update.

Another great ship tour. I’ve been looking at Panama Canal itineraries, and both the Legend and Freedom go there. On the Carnival Pride on which I once sailed it's Interior Promenade is named "Sunset Gardens"

I've been on many Carnival ships but I keep coming back to this one. I'll take it for the fourth time in 2020. I love the weird decor. The layout is nice. I like the three pools. It's not too big. It leaves Tampa which is an hour from me so that's a perk too.

Dec this year i'm going on a 14 day cruise on the legend. Last time i was on this ship was 2009 for a 7 day cruise. It was great back then can't wait to see the improvements.

Thanks! She's coming to Baltimore so I wanted to see what's in store. Haven't cruised on Carnival since the early 90s when it was more gear towards singles and young adults. Good review of the Serenity Deck, we may consider this ship!

Cruise Radio no plans as of right now. Wasn’t in love with the spirit class ships. Still had a great time, just a different experience and maybe it was the deck layout
I’m sad they’re taking the Pride from Baltimore (my closest port) but I’m relieved they’re replacing her with Legend. She looks like a carbon copy of Pride just with a slightly different theme. Makes me happy. I love the Spirit class.
Agreed, I’ve always only cruised on the Pride and she’s a darn good ship. While the Legend isn’t nearly as lucky or prestigious of a ship (hence why the Pride is going to Tampa), the Legend should be a good replacement regardless

I've been on a LOT of Carnival ships - just got off the Panorama's Inaugural 1st and 2nd sailings yesterday. I have to say that (to my own dismay because I never thought I'd feel this way) there IS such a thing as a ship that's TOO big (at least for me). Having been on each class, I think I really prefer the Spirit Class. My first cruise was on the Pride and the next year was on the Spirit...so, because I'm now interested in the Legend in 2021 (50th Birthday Europe sailing!!), I'm really looking forward to downsizing. The big mamma jamma was cool with all it's updated features, but I guess I'm just getting to the point where I don't need all the bells and whistles! Thanks for the tour.

@@CruiseRadio our 3rd cruise. We do Xmas 4 day cruise this December, then the mediteranian one in Sep 2020, sailing out of Venice, ending in Barcelona. We seem to love carnival and the cruise culture in general. We will stay a couple days in Venice prior to depart, looks really cool there.
I was on it this past June to Alaska. Wonderful ship, doesn't take long to get to know your way around . I'll be back on it next June for a 16 day trans-Atlanitic...CAN"T WAIT!!

Looks like a nice ship to be one of the older ones. I was recently on Carnival Inspiration for the first time out of jacksonville, fl and was very dissapointed.

The Inspiration is in Long Beach, California, not in Florida...and has been for a long time now. (I was just on her in October for the umpteenth time.)
We will soon be taking our 11th cruise on the Carnival Pride which is a sister of the Legend. It is a wonderful layout, and in our opinion a more relaxing environment than any of Carnivals newer larger ships. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The Pride is my favorite Carnival ship, so i have a feeling I would appreciate a cruise on this ship. I'm sad to hear about the chapel on the Pride though. The one on this ship looks serene.

Carnival legends or harmony of the seas..which one you prefer and what's the main different between them?
Does smoke get into the sushi restaurant? I see it has doors separating it from the casino.
Considering this ship for a European cruise, but worried about the smoke. Do you know if the nightclub is smoke free? Couldn't go in the one on the Splendor so wondering. Otherwise, it seems pretty standard and reminds me of the Pride.
Does this ship have Seafood shack, and does it have clam rolls or clam bellies?

I've been on her sister ship the Pride 5 times. I really love this class of ship. I've booked a cruise to Bermuda for next year. The only thing I HATE about this ship is the the card room is "The Trump Card Room" YIKES, not going in that room!
