Thank you for the video. My husband and I sailed the Vista November 2018 and found it be a little different than what we are used to. Comparing it to other Carnival cruise ships we have sailed, the casino was more "compact" with limited seating - lots of standing and waiting for a machine. The Mineral pool in the spa area is too small and the area is overcrowded with lounge chairs. The steam room, infrared sauna and dry sauna's are awesome. I would request an additional whirlpool and remove some of the lounge chairs in this area. Guys Burger's were great and the food at the Seafood Shack was cooked to perfection. Our stateroom was on the smaller side - it was on the spa deck; nice room, but just too small. Overall, a nice ship, but with a different layout , elevators are slow, lots of stairs, which from taking the stairs so much, I lost 3 lbs and 2 inches from my waist - not bad, but when you go on vacation, your goal is not to be sore from climbing stairs. There is so much to do and so much to eat, definitely a great time to be had by all, but we are debating if we want to sail on the Vista again.
We did a back to back on Vista in 2018. I can't say it was a *bad* cruise but honestly she's been my least favorite ship. I agree with all of your observations. It felt like the common areas were the same size or smaller than other ships, with a larger amount of people sharing them. I know my experience might be different from others, but my overall take away was that the ship lacked the charm and grand feeling of other (smaller) ships we've been on, and we felt like we were just being squished on there to maximize the amount of money they could make. We didn't participate in some of the main attractions of the ship due to lines..2 hours was more than I was willing to wait to do the sky ride. I disliked the new storage layout in the cabins. I had a ton of positives too: Cove balconies are the bomb, JiJi's Asian is my favorite place to eat at sea, and I really enjoyed the Red Frog Pub. But our take away pretty much says it all..I won't be sailing anything larger than Dream class from now on and actually prefer Conquest or smaller overall. We've just had much better experiences on smaller ships.
@@DenaInWyo wife and I just got off the Freedom which is Conquest class. It seemed to be perfect to me. Granted none of the ships are full right now due to COVID. But it was a fantastic cruise. I hope Carnival doesn't "Sunshine" the Conquest class by jamming more cabins and removing public spaces.
We were on Vista January 2019. Loved it. We're Already booked on Panorama's Inaugural Dec 11, 2019 which is why I watched your video to remind me how great this class of ship is. Enjoyed your video, well spoken, well covered. We are Platinum. Panorama's will be our 28th Carnival cruise (we are also leaving next week (Nov 4th 2019 on a 4 day Carnival Inspiration) Lovin the cruise life!!

Update: had a good time with the family and met a lot of cool people on the ship, I wasn't as much a fan of the Vista as I was with the freedom, the hallway leading out of the casino and into the comedy club was very cramped at times, no more glass elevators was also a minus and I wanted to do the sky bikes but they were closed during our cruise. Planning our next cruise for out of Charleston next year

We go to Cozumel, grand cayman, and Jamaica over seven days
We're heading on that same itinerary in March. I really want to do the SkyRide. Let me know what you think about wait times. Is it like an hour wait? Half hour? I'm just wondering what to expect.
Jori Turpin I never got the chance to ride the sky ride but the lines were crazy (50-75 min) every time I went by there, especially on sea days. I’d say plan on getting back a little early on port days if you want to ride the sky ride with no wait. The ship is empty when everybody is at port.

Vista is a beautiful ship the Staff are AMAZING. They treated us like family she is not that big just a wee bit bigger than the Breeze you really dont feel the size difference.

This ship was so much fun but I would not get the family harbor suites w/o the parents watching their teenagers. They were very destructive when we went in 2016. They messed up the private harbor suites lounge area & I never went in there again, other than that everything was great, I will be going on this ship again
Agree. When I was on the Horizon transatlantic in 2018, they were the same way. Someone got drunk and puked all over it. It was a hot mess.
Sail it Madden voyage in Spain and again going to Mexico. I miss the atrium you could look down all the floors. The pool in rear was for for aduits only and was salt water.

Was just on carnival breeze looks very much the same except i prefer the breeze atrium which is way more impressive and carries less people which doesnt feel so crowded.

My favorite areas of this ship is the Havana pool area and the thermal suites. ❤ My husband and I spend most of our time in those two areas.

We cruise on the Vista in July and I can’t wait! I’ve been reading a lot of reviews and they are really mixed. I’ve heard about the obstructed views in the lounge. Seems to be a common complaint.

I’m taking my husband on his first cruise on the Vista June 2020, Yay! I chose a stateroom on the first floor, first room at the tail end of the boat. I’m now curious if the room would be noisy or if you could feel the movement of the boat. I’ve never been on floor one and I’ve always had stateroom mid ship. I only chose this stateroom because it’s a little more room than the others regular ocean view rooms. If anyone can give me an idea, I would be very appreciative.
If you want the least amount of movement, book the lowest deck possible and center of the ship. That is why a lot of older ships had dining rooms low and center. Less motion. Thank you for watching. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I Absolutely Loved the Vista!!! ❤ Sailed Sept 2017/Miami Wish she was back in Florida- The Havana Deck, & Serenity were my favorite Adult spots! Loved the Comedy Shows, and the Movies under the Stars! Not to mention the Staff & Food were Amazing, too! Just sailed July 2019 on the Miracle & booking an extended Balcony Cabin made the cruise more Amazing- not as nicely appointed as the Vista, but very nice... 4 Ports, Great Food & Service! #shoutout Nelson & Lidia 💞🛫⛴☀️🍹 Ready for another cruise!

How crowded do the pools and overall ship get during sea days? Going on this ship in march and i'm hoping i'll be able to atleast have some space in the pools and hot tubs.
We just sailed on the Vista and it wasn't overly crowded. Lots of fun things to do. Midship pool was most crowded but the aft pool on lido was good.

I sailed on the Vista in January 2019. I did not like the layout of this ship. We used the stairs a lot! The elevators are horrible! I slipped and fell in the Lido Market place after walking on the soaked carpet onto the tile. I had a hard time taking stairs after my fall, often waiting 15 minutes for one to come. I love the Triumph and the Miracle. Not sure I want to try the Horizon or Panorama. Beautiful ship, lots to do but getting around is very challenging. The food was ok, the specialty steakhouse was fabulous. The brewery tour was awesome!
Yikes. That is horrible. Sorry to hear that. They have those speed bumps by the elevator. I didn't notice it too much on Horizon. That was def a design flaw. I could eat in the steakhouse every night! Thanks for watching.

I don’t think I’ll like the vista class that much. My favorite has always been the Conquest class, they just have the kind of charm I really like, plus I have really good childhood memories on Conquest herself.

We leaving on Vista Saturday 2 days from now. After watching this video I am concerned that it will be as much fun as some of the other Carnival ships I have been on. I know I'm not going to like the elevators. Husband and I can not do stairs. I was like a child with big exciting eyes in the center elevators of the other ships

I love this ship, i met a kid my age named mitch and we caused trouble i jumped a flight of stairs down and there was a huge crash. And mitch called emergency services and he got yelled put due to the fbi. And finally the family harbor we snuck into it and mitch put cones in the door and crushed most of it and put it back and got taken to his room by security. 100/10 best ship

How would do compare this ship to the carnival breeze or any dream class ship?
