I for one vote for a new army book if it means another look at the Italian rules. Maybe we just have close games but "Avanti Savoia!" rarely comes into effect (not yet tried playing with the desert theatre and "8 million bayonets") and you mentioned how Defensive Strategy is scenario dependent. Maybe a variation on frostbite from the France campaign rules to replicate the logistical nightmares and some kind of mild generic cover buff instead of Defensive Strategy? Loving this game by the way, first in person battle in the garden the other day - 500 points and my only frostbite casualty was the commander...

You could use d12s so you could do +1.5/-1.5 easier without changing much.
You have to make 6+ 11 and 12, 5+ equal to 9, 10, 11, 12, 4+ equal to 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, etc. It would mean that +1 would become +2 and 1.5 would be +3.

Excellent stuff. Some cool tweaks suggested as well as Allessio talking about hollow charges. That’s come up with my piat team. It’s interesting how spamming can affect the rules writer’s decision.
I’d love to see erehwon, Antares and bolt action all play off d10s....but as Mr C says, the knock on from that seems prohibitive.
Bolt Action is a brilliant game though - it ain’t broke don’t fix it..- My only criticism of the rulebook is the lack of an index. (Those Aussies did a great one)

I haven't watched the whole video yet but is Bolt Action Raiders still coming out? Amazon suggests it will now be coming out in September.

An interesting take, never thought of that. Let's hope they don't miss any units out though like the Stug Riders from the German V2 book. I do wonder how they can collect all of the rules from the various campaign books into something comprehensive without eventually digitizing it though.

or how about this, online PDF army lists like how Gates of Antares does it. They are all free and can be updated periodically to adjust points or add/remove rules.
