this game brings back so many good memories from when i was younger. i used to play the free version on my dinky little ipod with a severely cracked screen at school. i accidentally got free microtransactions several times because apple kept allowing purchases go through on an apple gift card with no money on it 😭
Agreed its super nostalgic! Thats hilarious that it actually went through. I'll never forget getting those $20 physical apple iTunes cards to get Kairosoft apps on my ipod touch
My favorite thing about this game is a tenant want a lot of furniture at first but can't keep up with the upkeep, im not run a charity here boys and girls 😂
Agreed! Its actually a relatively difficult game for Kairosoft standards, it's super easy to get into debt if you don't manage how much furniture they have well
this is my first Kairosoft game i played since i was a teenager. my fave out of all Kairosoft game 🤗
It's a great game! Revisiting the DX version with the in app purchases removed really makes it shine
this is peak kairosoft. no bullshit, good art, best replayability.
Its also kinda funny since the owner always meddles to the tenants' lives

I actually found I had that issue too, it's a relatively balanced game where you don't have as much spare money as other easier titles

Ayy! I really wanna play Dream Town Island for myself, as creating a town-wide community appeals more to me than being a 🤢 landlord. I wish they'd include different skin tones, though.
Dream Town Island is a great expansion of Dream House Days, DTI has better community building and DHD has better interior designing imo. Agreed they should definitely add that!

This is peak Kairosoft content right here. Simple, fun, and a lot of contents to collect, they def need to make Dream House Days 2.
There's just something so fun about completely designing the building interiors. Hoping the next dream game includes this feature alongside Dream Town Islands world editing

I love this game, I remember playing it at school with an old htc phone and oh boy did I play the heck out of it, when this video popped up in my recommended feed I went straight into steam and got the DX version, this one is particularly nostalgic for me
The DX version is truly the best version of it, so glad that the free to play titles are getting the proper full game upgrades they always deserved
This is borderline Will Wright's original concept for The Sims (but without the individual housing).
Which is interesting that this game shows that idea had plenty of merit in its own right.
That's really awesome! I didn't know that, absolutely agree with you there it has merit, I mean just look how big the Sims series is now
13:52 I learned an important lesson from this video: to have good rizz, I need a room with only windows and a bed that's inaccessible due to the lack of doors. You don't get doors, you earn them after succeeding

For years I've been revisiting this one as well as Dream Town Island wishing they would just make an updatable version that is a mix ob both with more customization T^T one day maybe?
I agree I hope that's the next natural progression for the dream series, having Dream Town Islands expansive world designing with Dream House Days interior house customisation
Would you please rank my ideas for kairosoft games , I commented it on an older video but I'm not sure if you'll see so i want to comment it here as well .
.
1- outer space themed game with aliens , alien corps and alien foor and different looking planets to land on and discover, smth like green the planet but with more interactions.
2- pre historic age game with dinosaurs and all strange lives that lived back , it could include some evolution of life interactions as well .
3- a jungle game where we explore the jungles , fighte monsters and gain materials.
4- a farm game similar to pocket harvest but bigger , where we can plant all types of corps and fruit trees, ponds with ducks and fishes and chickes, cows , buffalos, horses , built small shops and use ingredients to make food and recipes .
5- smth smiliar to a witch world with strange creatures like mermaids, ghouls...etc
Where we hunt them or maybe interact with them in exchange for their scales , hair ...etc to use to make recipes.
Really great ideas! I like them all and they all could definitley be realistic Kairosoft games, my personal ranking of them would be 2,3,5,1,4! You've sold me on the idea of a prehistoric Kairosoft game, so so much potential
I remember moving a child of a good paying tenant cuz he grew up. The unit is not that expensive but that person never paid the rent! It went to parties EVERYDAY! I feel bad for his good parents but i dont have a space for non paying tenants.
Gotta prioritise the best tenants possible! That's the only way to stay profitable at this surprisingly more difficult Kairosoft title
I love Dream House Days so much and have been thinking if I would buy the dx version orrrrr buy their new game the heian one
The DX version made it feel like a new game replaying it, definitely the best way to play it. Heian City Story is also really solid, can't go wrong either way

Didn’t like the free to play stuff at the time. Oso I was really suffering that time on money, but enjoyed it
It's great that the DX versions removed all free to play elements, makes the free to play games really shine
I play this game a lot when i was child and screwed a lot of gameplay by going in debt every time in year 5 💀 but what i hate about this game is this you can't upgrade/the first 4 place lol since i want mine to be all like that 2 each combined:(
and i even try to 'crack' it so i can buy a lot of scratchy lol and.. It's not worth the virus 🏃 (just some item/building to increase stats and potion)
Oh yeah that's a really good point! If they ever made another Dream game that includes room customisation they should totally make a purchasable item from Grizlly Bearington that allows you to change the layout of the original apartments

Who doesn't like being a landlord and managing subdivided flats to maximise rent per tenant and watch them suffer and their kids grow up in a tiny shoebox flat no bigger than the size of a parking lot? Maybe the "having kids" permit isn't so bad afterall.
The kids really do be living in a shoebox sized room. That actually makes sense, could absolutely be the reason for the permit requests
