      Yes and considering his height is only 5.6' it was really an incredible performance! I think he nailed in 3/4 of the pool

      Vito Roma He started in Rio de Janeiro, but at the age of 14 he moved to study and train IN USA.

    Me lembro desse dia com tristeza, pois, Ricardo Prado merecia essa medalha de ouro, o nada peito, foi o que tirou a possibilidade certa de ouro. Ano de 1984 Olimpíadas de Los Angeles.

    Eu me lembro deste dia como se fosse hj, nós soltamos até fogos, pois a medalha de Prata foi um Vitória para o povo brasileiro em 1984.

    Breaststroke was so inefficient back then. It was "fixed" 4 years later where they finally streamlined the head with the body.

      Until 1987, the head had to be kept above the water in every stroke or at least part of it

    Bauman had such an advantage being that rare swimmer who was both a strong backstroker and breaststoker.

    Esse Alex Baumann era impressionante quando virava do nado de costas pro nado peito onde tirava a diferença e conseguia se manter no nado livre. Pro Ricardo Prado foi uma pena mas a medalha de prata foi importante na natação brasileira.

      @@luizrenato8423 sem duvidas, a medalha de.prata foi um.excelente resultado, porem.ele era o campeao.mundial.e recordista da.prova, portando gerou uma leve tristeza na ocasiao

      No. Rowdy Gaines calls swimming for the NBC now, he was still swimming in 1984
