Joel reminds me of my grandpa Joel. Just honest, hard working, good man. I miss my grandpa everyday. Thanks for bringing back some fond memories of him.

+Bonnie Hoellein Bonnie-I hope you feel better soon. I never knew that was such a painful operation. A little lavender oil in your vaporizer will relax you. Plus if the doctor permits there is a numbing throat spray called Cepacol that you can get at the drug store. Joel& Olivia are the best. That was the London skyline on the wall of the waffle house. Speedy recovery!

I'm a mom of two and I feel like my other half doesn't really appreciate what i do for our family on a daily basis but seeing you showing your appreciation for your wife and mother of your children was so heart warming. +Bonnie Hoellein Oh Bonnie I feel your pain! I had my tonsils out back in 2013 and boy is it hard. You are doing great! So happy you have that humidifier and drink lots of water! Also chicken broth helped me so much.. your worse couple days are ahead and then you will finally feel some relief I promise! Its just because those scabs are forming and trying to heal. I remember the helpless feeling in the middle of my recovery. I also joined the tonsillectomy recovery group on facebook and that helped to ask any questions because some other people of ways to find relief. Ill post the link below but they are super helpful! I hope you're feeling better soon. I was considering doing this for some of the same reasons (tonsil stones), and I am starting to second guess that, haha. I hope your recovery is not painful for much longer.

I feel for you! I had my tonsils out as an adult and it was the hardest recovery I ever went through. I have had several surgeries in my life but that one was the worst. Instead of getting better each day, you feel like you get worse each day. I am thinking of you and wishing you a very fast recovery. You seem like a very sweet person and you are very much loved! Your husband is a sweetheart and your children are beautiful!!!
this video made me cry. I'm so glad you post real life. I recently went thru some health issues and my hubby had all the household work load and our twin boys plus his business stress. definitely makes them appreciate everything we do.

Whenever I or my husband have been in the hospital it always happened that the other spouse would break down and cry it out when the patient came home. You smashing the pill brings back a memory for me. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out at once and my boyfriend at the time smashed up my pain pill and mixed it with chocolate pudding lol. You are a great guy Joel. I always wait for your wink at the end. I'll miss it when you don't vlog anymore
My husband has been taking care of me sense back in February,I had to have a major foot surgery and not being able to walk at all has left him doing everything,after 28 years of marriage he has said to me over and over now I no why your so tired at the end of the day..My reason for sharing this is my husband has done an amazing job at taking care things although it's not always my way it the best way,and I'm thankful that God has blessed the two of us that we have each other..JoelI know its even harder with children but you look like your doing a great job,praying straight and healing for you Bonnie and remember this time will pass ,God bless you and your beautiful family 🙏😊 I wanted to say to the two of you that's what makes great marriages is when ones down the other can stand strong we just have to let them.....

I have strep and bronchitis so my throat is killing me ( got lidocaine to numb the throat) so I can only imagine the pain your going through.

It totally made me cry when Joel started crying. I know that taking care of a household is hard, but I got the impression that he was crying also because he was sad to see his sweetheart in so much pain. It's the hard moments in life that help us remember how much the people we love mean to us.

I don't have personal experience with a tonsillectomy...but from the experience I do have(wisdom teeth...), any surgery in your mouth/throat area is just disgusting and uncomfortable...you can't eat and drink properly and feel like you can't breathe, the disgusting taste in your mouth...its just horrible ^^
