When cops Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) join the secret Jump Street unit, they use their youthful appearances to go under cover as high-school students. They trade in their guns and badges for backpacks, and set out to shut down a dangerous drug ring. But, as time goes on, Schmidt and Jenko discover that high school is nothing like it was just a few years earlier -- and, what's more, they must again confront the teenage terror and anxiety they thought they had left behind.

Cool fact Johnny Depp and Peter DeLouise did the cameo because they were in the original Jump street ironically an 1987 police Drama that aired for four seasons.
Holly Robinson Peete (Officer Judy Hoffs), the police officer that gives them the car was also in the original 21 Jump Street series
H.T. was on the tv during the shooting, he was Korean Jesus😂
It was the early 80's and it is where Johnny Depp had his exposure and got popular from that. He was also in Nightmare on Elm Street, but the TV show was the thing that did it

The "21 Jump Street" tv show was in the 80s. And Johnny Depp was in it. It was after his breakout role in the original 1984 "A Nightmare on Elm Street" movie.

Police officers actually don’t need to read you your rights unless they’re questioning you so usually an officer at the station will do it. Also officers can carry small pocket books with Miranda rights on them but it definitely makes for a redemption story with Channing Tatums character even tho it’s bs lol

Probably one of my most favourite movies of all time I remember seeing it for the first time at 14 finding every joke hilarious and as a European I have a very harsh view in American humour but this movie was gold too bad they destroyed 2 franchises for a flopped men in black reboot
