- Cousin asked me if it was possible to land on the sun station late in my loop so I did and yea. It was a little late in the loop
Changed the thumbnail to be a little more spoiler friendly. As far as Outer Wilds clips go, they usually don't get this many views and this game is very special to me and many many people.

Thank you fellow Outer Wilds adventurers! It's been a blast watching this clip take off. Glad to know we all experience this game in our own ways. Such a phenomenal game❤
this clip is what actually got me to finally boot up outer wilds man, I've finished it a few days ago and I'm slowly wrapping up the DLC now
That is amazing and makes me so happy. I'm jealous of people who get to still experience the game for the first time so I always try to put new people towards the game. Also I'm glad this isn't too spoilerish other than the text saying sun goes boom in this amount of time

I remember just staring in the wind shield watching the sun as the station orbits around and just waiting for the station to get devoured

I love how he didn't even have freeze time when reading script enabled so he didn't have the chance to sit there and come to terms with his fate.
The setting doesn't freeze time if the end music has started playing
@@Ultimaximus The countdown here is for the Sun Station getting destroyed, and that happens a while before the end of the loop.

I still remember my first visit to the Sun Station. I noticed the wall first and reading the messages on it was a sucker punch. I ended up just looking out the window at the Sun for a bit as I tried to think of any other signs of an artificial supernova, but: nothing. I remember thinking "It's... dying." before I finally looked around the rest of the room and noticed the record ring. The first message summed up what I was thinking nicely.
The second message said I had 27 seconds to get out.
Im guessing most people thought "its dying." Hell, Nerdcubed said it verbatum.
First ring : Let’s appreciate the implications that come along the death of such a powerful astral body as a sun…
Second one : But OUTSIDE.

I would of accepted my fate too honestly... I remember when I first made it to the station it said I had around a minute left. That was the fastest I ever booked it out of somewhere

I never went to the sun station before beating the game the first time, and so I was dissapointed by the ending. Only upon going back did I realise the sun was naturally dying, and I finally understood the point of the whole game lol.

Outer Wilds is one of those games where anytime you die, it has to be as comedic as possible.
I have played the game for 3 hours and can confirm this is accurate
I had plenty of time when I got to the sun station, but I didn’t bother leaving.
I knew (or at the very least had a good idea) that the sun station wasn’t the reason the sun kept exploding. But I didn’t realize that the Sun’s explosion was completely natural until I read that terminal.
I just… thought about stuff. About how even if I saved the solar system, there wouldn’t be a universe left to explore after that. I stayed there until the Sun swallowed the station.
Then I went and found what was hidden inside the Interloper.
That is painfully, but the good kind of painful

Slowly getting through this game and I remember I had plenty of time when I got to the Sun station. Literally just yesterday, I realized I could freeze time while talking to people 😂

That could be the case.... but I think when the sun explode song is playing the game stops pausing text.
@@AntherMoo you can see in the vid that the sun explodes 11 minutes and 30 seconds after the sun station is devoured by the sun
and the time stopping thingy stops working when End Times begins to play. the track is a minute and 58 seconds long.

I didn't know that option exists until like half way thr the game, it probably saved me a lot of time and frustration cuz I tend to overthink and check every nook and cranny looking for more story or content lol

Is everyone's first experience with the Sun Station's observation room getting there without enough time to read everything? 😛 it's ok, I wanted the practice landing on it anyway.
First time I came to sunstation this happened exactly as I threw open that one door before the jump. And assumed for quite a while that opening those doors leaves you exposed to the full fury of the sun or something. So I didn't really return.
I actually didn't know the station was engulfed by the sun before it goes supernova, really interesting

First time I went to sun station it said 40 seconds and I just instantly panicked and tried to get out of there

If the sun station can survive being right next to the sun, why would it be destroyed by going into the sun? Or was it only that close because the sun was expanding?

My best guess is that the sun station is built to be highly resistant to the heat of the sun, but cannot maintain it's orbit below a certain distance from the surface, or is deorbited by the friction once it contacts the surface of the sun, and cannot withstand the crushing, atom-fusing pressure of the interior once it sinks deeper into the sun. It could also be that it is torn apart from the force of being dragged into the sun once it's bottommost part hits the surface. If you watch the sun station from a distance, you can actually see it disintegrate and fall into the sun at the designated time. It's pretty cool.

So being resistant to heat doesn't necessarily mean being able to resist survive in the sun
Like being able to breath underwater doesn't make you able to survive the abyss and the pressure down there
