    I agree with you! I bought MacBook Air 13 inch and had to return it because it's just too small and so i got the MacBook Air 15 inch instead. I noticed a huge difference when it comes to its sound. I'm glad I changed my mind. The size of 15 inch is what I needed and the great sound it produce is just a PLUS! I really love the sound from my 15 inch compared to air 13 inch!

    Hey there ! I’m 90% decided to get the 15” but as you had the experience gaming please can you let me know a little bit more about that ? Gaming in the 15” has a performance boost for the 2 extra gpu,any gains in fps ? And what about games that you have some zoom factor such as planet coaster or total war games, can you tell any huge difference or you can see well tiny things with the 13” ? Appreciate the help 😊

    I went to best buy looking for the 15” Air however, when i saw the 13” and hold it in hands, catches my full attention. I was looking for a portable macbook, the screen size of the 15” is amazing but for my personal needs the 13” is more portable and light. Im a salesperson that walks a lot customer to customer. If you are looking for a macbook portable go for the 13” everything else I recommend the 15”.

    Should i go with M3 15" base variant or the upcoming Snapdragon X elite laptops?

      I’d say wait for now if you can. The 15” Air is awesome, but depending how X Elite performs. There’s some benefits going that route for the future.

    I am a person who does not hold much in one place. I like to move around even inside the house. Will the 15" be too large to affect this thing? Is it comfortable to use it when u place it on your lap while you are on bed for example, or will it be large and too big?

    • @HeyMarkL
      @HeyMarkL  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You’ll find the 15” manageable but of course the 13” is really portable and very easy to lug around everywhere.

    Ive had my MacBook Air for about 8 months, now. When researching it, I made sure I got the fifteen inch, along with the 512GB SSD. I ordered it with 8GB ram - a bit risky I know, but I was on a tight budget being a pensioner, and didnt want to risk the 256GB model. With the ram though, I was a bit worried at first to be honest. I didnt need to, though, as it sails through everything ive thrown at it, including Resident Evil 4 and Adobe Premiere & Photoshop, etc etc. Okay, it may take 2.381 or whatever seconds longer, but ive been around for a century and a half, so it really isnt an issue. Im delighted with it, and am seriously thinking about getting an M3 Air, but with 24GB ram and 2TB hard drive. This will probably be my last new machine, so it will be something to look after me as I lost my partner at the start of the year. Cant wait to get it!

    Thank you very much for the video! I want to buy my first Mac, I want to use it mainly for desktop (I spend 99% of the time at home), but I would also like to be able to take it with me in case I have to travel one day to another city or country, or also in case the power goes out, I don't know whether to buy a Mac Mini m2 pro, the MacBook Air 13, the 15 (16 ram and 512 ssd both) or save more and go for the MacBook Pro m3 pro 14 inch, I would only use it as a work computer as a web and mobile developer, since my main one is a windows laptop with an i9, what would you recommend?

    • @HeyMarkL
      @HeyMarkL  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If this will be your only Mac at home and for travel, you should save up for the M3 Pro! By the time you're ready to buy, there might be an M4 Pro by then which will then lower the price of M2 Pro! I had the 14-inch M3 Pro and it was amazing for desktop and mobile work. But I do love these Airs since they're soooo light (even the 15-inch)

    By travel a lot, you mean office to house ?? I have a windows desktop at home and I want a laptop for Photoediting in Lightroom Classic. It's gonna be a daily lug around laptop so that I can finish my photo edits whenever and where ever .. Is the 13 preferable for this scenario ??

    • @HeyMarkL
      @HeyMarkL  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      No, I flew 37 times and over 80,000 miles last year 😅 - I think 13” is more than enough to edit photos in Lightroom. My only suggestion for Lightroom or any content creation is to configure your laptop with more RAM. 16GB should be okay, but if you can do 24GB. This would last you for years and won’t have to upgrade for another 4-5 years.

      If you can get the M2 with 512GB SSD for a really good price go for that. Otherwise, go for M3. Would highly recommend upgrading specs cause base is just not enough to get you through college. I’m sure you’ll have multiple tabs, windows etc open. 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD is the key!

  • @newQns
    @newQns หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    It seems like you didn't got much out of the extra 8Gb of RAM in your personal 13", would you confirm that (Benchmarks etc)? I decided for the 16Gb/1Tb 15" after doing some research and I feel like I made the right decision regarding the "performance sweetspot" and perhaps also "resale value". I know this decision is very personal, but regarding SWAP, higher lifespan of the SSD compared to the smaller sizes and some Benchmarks I found via YT, which basically detected just a minor difference between 16 and 24Gb of RAM, I chose like I said. What do you think? Perhaps I will run into bottlenecks running VMs or heavy Audioprojects, but for now these situations are rare and I can't complain as of today. I exclusively run one or the other thing and audiowise I mostly track/record and sometimes edit small projects, very rarely I have big ones, but I'll see how it handles them soon. :) Thank you for you video.
    PS: I plan to use this machine for a LOOONG time!
