I read on steamdb yesterday that it has sold 1,200+ copies (idk how much it sold on switch). I would say it sold well for a port of an old game so far.
Ed moders and some people that finished the game are reporting that this port actually added new game plus like Survive. So this port has new game+, run and beginner mode
I don't count modded content as part of the price or the package that bandai is selling

@@GymLeaderEd Apparently how it works that you take everything you have unlocked to the difficulty you want, evolutions, objects, requirements, money up to a limit, trainer level up to a limit, all those things you take to new game + similar to how it works in Digimon Survive
This game has modders?
Game runs smoothly on Steam Deck as well, 60FPS most of the time, with full charge was able to play for 7 - 8 hours without needing to charge. Having 7 gb in total is a nice plus as well
Meanwhile on Ps4/Ps5 it is normally on sale for roughly $5. I'll wait to snatched up on sale, or find a cheaper physical for Switch.

Yep. Only new things are game journo mode and mom gives you running shoes at the start.

I had literally almost beat the ps4 version. It’s taken me years now I’m about to start over on switch😂
I read you can change the resolution beyond 1080p in the config. So I might get the game since I wanted to replay it on a proper resolution for a while and the ps4 version is just too low res for me nowadays.
The Steam version in Europe is € 49,99. Which IS slightly pricey for a remaster. But till not full priced. But I do not think that the Switch version was really BandaiNamco's fault. I think that is Nintendo's fault for releasing all AAA games at that price. ^^;
As a comparison that is the same price of Digimon Survive and 10€ less than Hogwarts Legacy

Love this game but one thing I can never get the characters to ever evolve to their megas they always go back to their baby forms cuz I can never get their stats high enough to evolve😅😅😅
Steam deck allows for portability as well.
Bandai loves to say games in the digimon, and gundam franchise would come to the West more if they were more popular, but then they constantly do things like this or dare I say it, New Gundam breaker.
I keep telling everyone if they just brought over gundam breakers 3 to the west it would sell like hotcakes.
But nooo we just had to get new gundam breakers.

@Argonisgema tbh it is the onky gundam Breaker game I have played, and I enjoyed it. However, I did by it fairly cheap on a steam sale, and I have enough knowledge of the other games to know its many steps backwards.
I know a lot of people don't have the steam deck but honestly it is the most beautiful game on the steam deck.

There is 1 thing as well, that is different. A lot more Japanese Digimon names. For example the black Agumon and Gabumon quest line in MOD In the PS4 are called Blackie and Blackasaurus. In the switch version they called themself something else. As well as omnimon/omegamon

I'd buy the game on the Switch for $30 since it's a port but definitely not $60 for a port. If there was extra content, quality of life features, better graphics, or something like that then MAYBE I'd pay full price but not for a couple of basic features.
Well, if all normal difficulty does is adding more grinding by giving g you less stats I'm not touching that! I usually play on normal 90% of the time but that's just a boring change of "difficulty" so I will play in easy.
Normal doesn't reduce stat gains or really "add" grinding, its essentially the same pacing as DW1 which of course like many old games only had the one difficulty. Easy and beginner function more like speed-up options for anyone who might've found the original too slow or repetitive.
So there's no reason not to play on easy, really the only "danger" is making the game too easy for yourself.
It decreases stat growths on everything, so you have to make smaller jumps looking for tougher enemies to get stronger. In practice, it's just a hell load more grinding and your first few lifespans will be suffering.
waiting for the miracle of being able to unlock fps or limit them to my monitor refresh rate...

Yeah I was disappointed to hear they just added things to accommodate beginners to the series/franchise instead of adding stuff we hardcore fans would appreciate.
I mean it's fine, whatever, at least more new players get to know Digimon.. with that said, full price for a non-remaster and half a decade old game will sour even veterans to the point they might be inclined to not recommend it to newbies, meaning it's probably doomed to fail.
I already have the PS4 version. From what I can see there's no reason for me to get the Switch version.

Dont see any point in handheld mode for me. I dont take long bus or train rides and im not ten and liable to kick the back of moms seat without it. The only use i get for portable mode is during power outages or to watch youtubers like gymleader ed while mindlessly rpg grinding with the occasional glance down to make sure my characters arent dead. This game has too much to pay attention to for that.
Will probably get it if they add new content though for sure otherwise ill wait for a sale.
Isn't there a hard mode that unlocks after you beat the game?
Normally I'd say that's great for those that want more challenge, but in this case wouldn't that just add more grind again by dropping less money and giving less stat boosts?

Cyber sleuth series is soo much better…
Yeah. I'm only playing this out of boredom, and every time I need a break from Survive. And Survive just isn't Cyber Sleuths
I mean it's a completely different type of game so it really doesn't have to be compared to cyber sleuth. Both are great games.
