It is nice to see that you went back to the Walton, Kentucky area to do some railfanning, Jaw Tooth! I like the Locust Street location for watching trains. You would think that CSX would have more protection at their crossing because of the speed and size of the trains running on that line. The Abner Gaines House is another good train watching location because you have trains both in front and behind the house. Thank you for taking us back to these two locations in Walton, Kentucky.
My pleasure! One thing I have noticed is that Norfolk Southern is known to make changes occasionally. They changed the frequency on the line around Horseshoe Curve, Pa a few years ago. I have to update those videos. NS also changed the frequency on a section of track south of Lexington,Ky

They were at least twice the size of what was in the silos and bins at the graineries waiting for trains to come pick it up. Always wondered what That grain was used for and wonder if it was used in the flour and bread we bought at the store. Made me cut back on bread and do My flour shopping at the organic markets
Looks like you were hosting the Freight Firecracker 500 with the grain both ways and it's been awhile since the 150 car gargantuan gondolas passed by. Even though they weren't flying they are really trying to keep the autorack utilization numbers as high as possible. The computer chips have arrived to finish off the partially-built vehicles and consumer demand is still high for new vehicles. While thousands of new autoracks have been built over the last several years they represent a huge investment and when this Market dries up they wind up sitting in Long deadlines sometimes for a year or more. Also the shift from sedans to SUVs have changed things and there aren't huge numbers of convertible cars. In fact between Trinity Car pushing the Hour glass rebuilds note that TTX has rebuilt quite a few cars that are either at retirement age or just about there so perhaps they'll be good for another 10 to 20 years. Luckily it is not as punishing a career as a hopper car and TTX has been doing this also to cars carrying truck frames, agricultural equipment and steel beams. Brandy to Lokie.
