I really appreciate you touching the height and fitting in your reviews. I am also quite tall and you're the only person I could take advice from when it comes to the fz06. Thanks for that.
You have secured my decision on buying a 2007 fz6. 99% of my current riding is commuting. But, I do like to get away from that and hit some longer trips. Thanks for your review!
Ah glad to help :) I just sold mine to a close friend believe it or not! Never even got to put it up for sale and it's his second Fazer so that'll tell you :) 50,000km on it by the time I sold it. Absolutely loved that bike!
Thanks for the review bro, it really helped me. I have been thinking about getting this or the Hornet. I am a tall guy, like you, and I'm mostly gonna use it for long, chill rides and this seems like the best choice after watching your video.
Please let me know down in the comments if you'd like to see more of these reviews and I'll work triple hard to borrow more motorised bicycles. I did more fancy shmancy work on the video as well, let me know if the quality is good on your end! Also hello! :)

To be honest you likely fit bikes in general far better than I do, I'd love to be able to fit comfortably or even semi comfortably on an R1 or something but that just isn't possible :( I agree, the FZ6 is a brilliant bike, it was just a little small for me in the long run so I've since changed it sadly :(

Ive ridden and worked on both, if you can afford it and find one I'd highly recommend going for the s2. Better fuelling and brakes alone make it worth it.
@@BarryFromEastenders just my own opinion, the older carbed models are fun and all but the s2 with EFI and improved fuelling, brake and other stuff is just lovely. I'd buy another. TH-cam doesn't do messages annoyingly but I'm on Instagram and Facebook too, same name.
I really enjoyed this video...I can really see my Tracer's bloodline in that Fazer!! Have you thought about changing the mirrors? I put bar end ones on the Tracer, they are OK but I'll be getting bigger ones at some point. Great video and a pleasure to watch as always...

A small question on buying a used bike - should I even consider bikes prior to the year 2010? I have seen a few used ones but they are all 2007 or 2008 which seems a bit too old to me.
Of course you should! They're often basically the same bike :) mine is 2007 and still going strong with 50000km :) the only thing to be watch out for is getting a fuel injection model as carbs are a pain to maintain :)
Lol.....just look at all the 80's motorcycles still on the roads these days! Almost every Tom Dick and Harry starts out on a mid 80's Japanese UJM.......:)
Thanks! Not really no, I mean the brakes will lock up if you hit them too hard but there is excellent brake feel on the bike so you'll know when you're getting close to that point. If you're a beginner rider and have it in your budget I'd always advise going for ABS. The 2008 model of this bike had ABS so if its somthing you feel you need you can get it too. But no I don't think riding with no ABS is dangerous as long as you learn the brakes. Hope that helps!
@@TheGorillaBiker Also. What would you think is the best or the best options for tall people for little money. You could make a video talking about the cheaper choices for tall people. Thanks man.
No problem :) Haha nah I'm properly slow :D Honestly it really depends on your budget and use for the bike, it's why it's so hard to make a video like that as a lot of things are kind of case by case! But I'll definitely add it to the list and see what I can do :) Thanks for the suggestion :)
No I'm not. Standard setup for an s2 on this one. If you're very tall I would suggest adding risers, maybe 25mm as I am slightly hunched which can cause cramps on long stints.
Hey, I want to buy this bike but don’t know where the best website/place to buy it? I was told auto trader but that’s based in uk. Any suggestions on where is the best place/website to buy this bike?
Well if you're in Ireland you really only have donedeal, if you want to import one you could look all over europe on autoscout it's called. They're becoming harder to get in this trim! Sorry for the delayed response, I was travelling home yesterday on too many planes!
I have, I'd love to get my hands on another one for a proper review. Opinion is they're an unreal bike. A hell of a lot more power than the 600 but you do need to decide what you want it for, the 600 is perfect for what I need for now but the fz1 would be way better for touring and 2 up.
The GorillaBiker Do you think the FZ6 may be a bit under powered with a pillion passenger? A lot of the time I will have my wife onboard. We wouldn’t be traveling at crazy speeds, I’m thinking more about overtaking and would there be enough power for a quick effortless pass. That’s why I’m undecided between the FZ1 and FZ6.
Underpowered no I don't think so with 2. However with any amount of luggage it'd soon become unpleasant. Personally if its mainly going to be a 2 person bike I'd go for the fz1. It'd be more pleasant cruising too thanks to the additional torque. For overtaking and stuff the 6 would be fine you'd just be dropping gears a lot, you'd want to be overtaking over 8k rpm really with 2 people. So yeah for me I'd get the fz1 if it was to be used for 2 any amount of time. I do load up the fz6 with luggage a good bit and its always less pleasant. Hope this helps :)
The GorillaBiker thanks for the feedback which has made my mind up the FZ1 seems to be the right choice for my needs. Keep posting the videos I enjoy them, thanks again.👍👍👍
6’7, 265lbs you’re a big boy. Lol😂 Anyway that 2006+ black frame and engine is my preference. I read that some fuel injection software updates were done as well. There s 2 red ones for sale nearby both 2007s. Might pull the trigger on one of them for sure. I have an SV1000 right now so I’m VERY used torque😜
Weird start to the comment but ok :D Yes the black frame and engine is the only way to go imo. The S2 had recompletely redone fuelling and better brakes.
