Even with those and that freak running forehand pass Agassi remarkably found a way to snatch that tiebreak. Great match and upload nonetheless.

no one chooses to (besides monfils). big difference.
I could watch that Sampras serve all day...
God, that era was so boring because of the dominance of big serves. Thankfully the sport was saved due to changes in surfaces and strings.
Gosh, I enjoyed these two great American tennis players more than any rivalry in tennis.
"You can bet Sampras will keep going for that serve" - Yea he's 6-0 up in the tiebreak, no shit he's gonna keep going for his serve. Great commentators there...
Best serve & volley player everrrrr
Joe Bhoyroo no, best serve, but not best volley
Lucky enough to go to this match to watch these legends. I replay that running forehand from Sampras all the time 👑
Shame that you left out the service faults of Sampras' that were followed up by bomb second serve aces in the fourth set tiebreak. Just watching him bang down an edited two aces one would believe they were first serves when in fact they were second serves. Even with those and that freak running forehand pass Agassi remarkably found a way to snatch that tiebreak. Great match and upload nonetheless.
Yes. The measure of a highlights video is in showing that second serves WERE second serves, if only in crucial moments. No player in history hit as many great second serves under pressure as Pete Sampras, and only when you KNOW they're second serves can you truly appreciate his excellence.
Couldn't agree more with both of you.
Agassi got so lucky with that netcord/Sampras hitting the volley wide, otherwise Sampras likely would've won the match.
@@drlight6677 you create your own luck. Lol
@@drlight6677 K and Sampras got luckier because the Ump robbed Agassi of an ace. He also hit like 3 winners on the line in the first TB, which is also incredibly lucky.
Where tf was the scoreline on TV back in the day?
Imagine having to actually...pay attention!
Not getting in the way!
Pay attention....
Got tears when Agassi nailed it
best decade
You see how close Agassi to the line he is returning a 115mph or faster serve, wow.
Pete's serve actually gained momentum when it hit the ground, due to the incredible rotation he generated. The only player who can do this is Kyrgios. Nick's serve takes off when it hits the ground.
Yes Kyrgios is amazing. Prob is he has no self belief.
@@blond2282 And not great conditioning. And a tendency to hit go for broke or trick shots that look impressive, but aren't sustainable patterns that can win you the 5-7 consecutive matches needed to win tournaments very often.
Nobody's serve "gains momentum" when it hits the ground.
Raonic serve is more impressive
@@tenniswilliamNot as beautiful as Sampras'...the Biomechanics of it.
Just look at the number of views this vid has in 2 weeks! These 2 were the GOATS imo and pure blockbuster names. Legendary rivalry that surpassed Federer Nadal imo. The perfect matchup too.
Ciaron Smith Nadal-Djokovic is the GOAT rivalry
Yes, I'd much rather watch these 2 than fed and nasal.
when you see these men played, you realized they are really the tennis gentlemen, no excuse, no mad, serve fast.
If I wanted to do a comedy sketch about Australian sports commentators I’d simply reuse this clip.
God I miss watching these guys!
The fourth set tie break was the best tennis you ever see.
2:40 - Slazenger hard court - great tennis balls.
What happend with this balls? i like it?
John, Bjon, Andre, Stefan and Rafa my favorite of all time...
