Truly a way to show emotion without even say a single word. A wise person once said: actions speak louder than words. And to be perfectly honest, when seeing this the first time...well, I was left speechless the moment I saw the empathy shown by both Jenny and the cat.
It’s not. I can point to many shows today that, whether they be your thing or not, have plenty of soul out into them. And that’s in spite of Streaming collapsing in on itself.
This animation almost feels like a sort of look in the future for Jenny many years after the series. Like I always wondered if her mom ever died what would Jenny really do? Her friends are much older, the world is changing fast and life as she remembered is far gone

Very smooth animation and accurate to the look of the original series. I can totally buy as being Jenny's first time interacting with a non hostile creature. What will really make this interesting is when/how she learns to speak.

Is this really an origin story if she was built by Nora Wakeman? This is more like…an amnesia-like story. Jenny knows she’s called “XJ9” but she doesn’t remember being called “Jenny Wakeman” or her own past. Just woken up in the far future. Edit: Mind you, I just discovered this channel myself.
Wooooow, those light effects when xj-9 got her head moved by the cat were SO good! Major props to you! I also really like how, when zoomed in, everything is more detailed than normal.
That was beautiful. I give so much props to the animators who put this together, they really created something amazing. It was very cute too for that matter. You know there's something both cute and funny that a highly armored metal super weapon can view any little thing like a cat or a little girl as a threat when we all know she's basically indestructible. Also maybe I'm reading to deep into this but can Jenny feel? It seem like she was as feeling the cat on her hand and body which again are metal.
She can feel human emotions. But if you're referring to physical sensations then it's not the same as humans. Kinda like the terminator. He said that his system recognizes injuries but it doesn't break his focus like humans. Armagedroid for example, ripped Jenny to pieces twice and came the closest to killing her. Imagine what that would do to a human. Even if repairing your body was possible you would be traumatised. But Jenny is fine, because she's used to a robotic body, not a fleshy one.
I don't care how long this reboot can be done for a full episode of the first, I'm glad to see bow much work it can be done, and also it's so beautiful a nd wholesome to make my heart melt and feel warm to see Jenny with a cat to find her a new friend and I can't wait for more of this beautiful reboot of this good show, sonthis has my full respect of the team tonmake such a beautiful short video of Jenny making her first friend since her first activation...

So amazing! You captured the style of the original PERFECTLY! I'm guessing Jeeny was put in status with her memories wiped clean, only to wake up in a post-apocalyptic/crapsack future where she is trying to remember who she is and rediscover the world around her. That would be a cool reboot idea.

This was well done, and I feel like with this way of story telling and direction of show and not tell ( Reminds me of the S1 Ep.7 of Samurai Jack on how they didn't use any voice, just sound to tell most of the episode) can be interesting and exciting to see more of ! This was beautifully done! Seeing Jenny all alone in the rain like that honestly tugged at my heartstrings but at the same time it was so heartwarming when the cat relaxed around her. Also love how faithful this was to the original show's style and it's easy to see how this was such a love letter to the franchise. Again, beautifully done!

After checking your other videos, all my memories came back because i was one of the people who waited the Reboot back in 2015!! I started to obsess with the series due to a nostalgia moment as i used to watch the series as a kid, and i stumbled across your reboot series. I waited and waited and waited... until i eventually moved on and forgot about it. It was also a bad timing as i was moving out at the time. After 9 years, i came back and saw this animation after it appeared on my Twitter feed.
Ever since 2017, I’ve been looking forward to this fan series. Was a bit rocky over the years, but finally seeing an animated scene from the pilot episode after so many years makes me warm my heart. I think I remember an episode where Jenny finds a set of robotic nerve endings. Her mother shelved them for being impractical.
Not in this series it isn’t. The only thing that isn’t complete is a voice. As depicted in the animatic.
