20 years ago, My Life as a Teenage Robot premiered on Nickelodeon in the United States. Today, we mark this occasion with the biggest collaboration of My Life as a Teenage Robot fans to date… My Life as a Teenage Robot Reanimated!
This project is not affiliated with Nickelodeon in any way. It’s purely a passion project by people who were touched by the show. This video will not be monetized.
It started as a dream that industry animator Mick Angel had, and it has blossomed into what you’re watching today thanks to the strong relationship between the Fanbase and Teenage Robot Rebooted.

Thanks for everyone for putting so much work in!
The fanbase of Teenage Robot is truly remarkable, with a strong sense of wholesomeness and passion that I haven't seen in a while.
Sure, there's some weird stuff that emerged from it, but it's overshadowed by the abundance of amazing content such as fan animations, artwork, videos, and even a future fanmade reboot.
This video is just another example of how great MLaaTR's fanbase really is.

Everyone did a great job putting so much effort into this, and I love it for that! The MLaaTR fandom will keep going strong!
I like how some artists outdid themselves, tweaked the design and added insane graphics with smooth animations, while others drew a stick figure at 5 fps 😂 great job everyone !

Yay same the beginning the lighting make the scene look epic and memorable and the other one have expression that came from a Zeurel animation to exaggerated the scene for more comedic timing.

Shame that nickelodeon still holds the right to MLAATR depite it being 20 years. I'm older than the show by a year, and I'd love to see it restored by those that will do it justice, instead of letting the contract collect dust in a storage room somewhere.
In the very least, Nick can't hold onto the robot girl forever, because of public domain rules (70 years after the death of the creator), it's just that we'll be waiting a while before that happens. Supposedly Mickey Mouse is public domain next year, albeit the Steamboat Willy version anyway. There was of course that whole thing where A.A. Milne’s original Winnie-the-Pooh book hit public domain and someone decided to make a terrible slasher movie out of Winnie the Pooh for some reason, but Disney's iteration of the bear is still owned by them, copyright is a bit weird in some places

Unfortunately companies like to hold on to copyright even though they have zero intention of ever bringing a show back. We'd be more likely to create a new show similar, but different enough to be its own thing.

I can't stop laughing, that was great! This show honestly needs more attention, it's ridiculously under-rated.
This episode is Jenny's very first debut from the show "What A Cartoon" at Cartoon Network, which making this episode a prototype of My Life as a Teenage Robot.
It's so really nice to see this episode be renanimated by different fans.
Close. It Came From Next Door follows the same exact plot of My Neighbor Is A Teenage Robot, but is a remake. The original short this episode is based on was made for Nickelodeon's Oh Yeah! Cartoons, but OY!C is similar to What A Cartoon and both iirc were made by Frederator.

Happy 20th anniversary, My Life as a Teenage Robot! Loved all the references and animation styles! I particularly loved seeing invader zim, the Sonic wanted poster, the Barbequed my brother joke, and Rob Ross’ scene at 10:00. Also, Jenny’s voice actor was spot on!

I watch this everyday since I found it. I call it: The Power of Love.
The second the video started and I saw that stellar 20th anniversary intro and logo, I knew I was in for a treat.
I just finished the show a few months ago after finally getting Paramount+, and this is an amazing project. The animators all killed it, and the VA's were great. I love this so much!

Yall did an incredible job recreating the first episode. Swear I backed it up so many times just to catch all of the essence in each shot, truly an incredible result.

Honestly I thought this was REALLY cool!! Like half of these animators could literally be an animator for an ANIME! Like some of the art styles are like REALLY detailed and even the voice acting. It’s pretty accurate for tuck and Brad, honestly i really liked how all these guys were nice enough to help out with reanimating a WHOLE episode, i can’t even do this myself, i just think this was really cool :D

This was absolutely incredible. Seeing the amount of work all of you guys put into this recreation of the first episode of MLAATR was truly a privilege and an honor. I adore the various mediums that were used to recreate each scene, and I squealed and kicked my feet every time I saw a reference to one of the later episodes in the series (i.e. The Dr. Suess version of Tucker from Jenny's imaginary dream world). This show had a massive impact on me growing up. Not only did it help me discover my gender identity, but I even renamed myself after the show's protagonist. Anyway, this is truly a masterpiece, and I hope many more people get to experience its nostalgia and beauty.

THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!! mlaatr was one of the first shows i ever watched as a kid and i still very vividly remember the 2008-style amvs for the show i used to watch over and over here on youtube when i was like 6 or 7 😭 (i was Obsessed with a jenny/sheldon one set to 'break my stride' and it's still the thing i picture whenever i hear the song) ANYWAYS. i love how inclusive this reanimated is; it really brings more people together in a way since art talent isn't a factor - it's all about love for the show and i think that's beautiful. awesome job to everyone involved!! :D
