Yeah, from what I hear, the Schwartz front ends supposedly turn better than the factory wide fronts? I know my 450 Diesel will definitely turn better lol
I watched that short and we are all glad you found that bolt loose before it was too late. I'm enjoying watching this process so keep it up and hope you have a blessed rest off the weekend my friend.
Hey friend I fenning for another video. That's how much this old man enjoys your videos. I pray all is well with you and your family God bless really enjoy your videos. Keith Devillier in Louisiana
Ive worried about rod bolts comming loose because some of my tractors dont use keepers, just tourqed down fine threads. You are working on some great tractors, very educational.
Looking at how similar that is to the 300U, I wonder how the 300U engine doesn't tear off the bell housing. I think I want to fabricate some side rails, if only to hold it all together. Go U around the front and add some bolt tensioners against the front piece (bolster?). I guess those are already present when it has the loader stuff on it.
@___PK__ Yeah its not an awful design but makes dropping the pan a little more difficult. You gotta loosen them to get it out. The only design flaw on the utilities was the steering box. They are the problem child , especially if someone puts on car tires with a wider contact to the ground versus a 3 rib.
@@bourbonbeertractorsandprep9335 Yes, I ended up rebuilding our steering box. I don't try to turn unless I'm rolling. And anyone running up to reef on it gets yelled at 😂
Yeah thats what I remember you saying that you guys haven't really done much with it. Its coming along beautifully though, just got the engine back together tonight! Lots of videos are coming out soon of its progress!
Love them 450s, we had a diesel when I was a kid in the 60s, It had the factory wide front, we needed all the acreage to make that thing turn....😮

Looking forward to this build, good catch on the rod bolt.
Thanks for watching! I have a ton of videos on their way!

Its definitely a worry, if keepers aren't used I like tooth washers as well.
My favorite Farmall... a 4fiddy . I have an antifreeze problem with my one and have to fix it. See you have a M&W governor
Yeah the 450s are mine as well! Yeah it was pretty cool to see it has the M&W on it! Hopefully you get yours squared away.
1 st comment ......lol but anywho glad you caught that rod bolt
Yup your 1st! 😁 Yeah man, its definitely a good thing !

The center wishbone under the utilities help add strength , so no worries brother.
@@bourbonbeertractorsandprep9335 True, that thing buttresses against the bell housing. Thanks.

It must have been the guy that owned it before us because we never rebuilt it we never really even messed with the tractor
