Boring is such a subjective phenomenon. The more I look into it the more this MBTI stuff fascinates me, and the more sure I am I'm an ENTP. It will come as no surprise this video spelled out my most boring worse nightmare 😅
Despite my natural love for possibilties and the drive to engage with them this is probably the one personality type I just can't wrap my head around, the complete anthesis of how my head loves life.
When you said there's probably not a lot of ISTJs who will have a great interest in the MBTI typology, I wasn't surprised. It's a beautiful system that I imagine feels redundant to them nonetheless?

I agree I wouldn't want to live like them either, though a great friend of mine is an ISTJ and they can be very dedicated friends so I appreciate them nonetheless. MBTI is usually too abstract for them to understand or be interested in.

@@kurotadorii yes that's a really important point actually. People aren't their type so directly judging people by their type is unfair and a slippery slope that helps no-one.
At the same time, being so new to this methodology, it's kinda fun to think about these things on paper. "Who would be my partner in crime, my nemesis in a superhero universe, my traveling companion in life, the people I don't understand". But in reality people are so much more.
I do greatly appreciate how much this methodology helps me understand myself though. It's extremely helpful in looking at the past from this one perspective and seeing a pattern before unseen. Pretty cool

I’m an Istj and I like abstract stuff and mbti so I don’t get where the stereotype came from! And if you think about enneagram, 5w6 is very natural for us in my opinion. People seem to think that Si is just boring routines and stuck in the past when it so wrong. Funny since the majority of them are N ! They would be surprised to hear that it makes us focus on a specific subject we picked in a Ne word of possibilities. Only unhealthy istj ever use Ne.

Some celebrity examples of ISTJs: George Washington, Jeff Bezos, Matt Damon, Evander Holyfield, Danica McKellar, Natalie Portman, Cal Ripken Jr., Hermione Granger,...

And we CAN predict the future since you realize some things will repeat themselves !!! It’s not just ntj! We can use intuition to zoom out and link events together and they will be detailed as well.

Yeah the stereotype that Si mostly has to do with routine is annoying since it's much more than that. Also I'm not saying ISTJs don't use intuition, just that it's not your strength so you can do less with it than an N dom can. But in turn your strength is your practical knowledge (for example, I forget things all the time, like facts and surroundings. But the ISTJ/ISFJs I know don't.)

Yeah underrepresented type within the typology community. Personally, I'm not a fan .. they just tend to automatically dislike INFJs.

I'm an INFJ here, and I'm not sure I've met ISTJs, but if it's true that these two types have difficulties I think it's worth trying to work through our differences even if it's hard so that we can get along and appreciate each others strengths and help each other with our weaknesses.

they automatically like INFJ! because they are usually INFJ 's mother! (along with other Si dom, Isfj) It's kind of a check on whether you are a real Infj. If you mom is ISTJ,ISFJ you are likely a real INFJ, otherwise...NO!!!

What? I'm an ISTJ and INFJs are one of (if not) my favourite personality type. Maybe I'm biased because of the people I know but even on paper they seem pretty cool

@@LordGui_ Hey I recommend you look into the Socionics intertype theory which details what kind of relationship you have with each type. For example the ISTJ worst possible relationship is with ENFJs which is called the conflictor relationship type. For INFJs it's actually ESTJs.
