It's not about being jealous, it's about working for it. Not having something given to you, when I was a teenager I was wearing 2 pairs of pants and 2 T-shirts. I also didn't get expensive gifts I had to work to buy my first car. That makes me more independent and proud I didn't have things handed to me.

The dealer hammered me with a high interest rate, charged hundreds of dollars for Scotch Guard, tried to sell me extra trim, extra drive train insurance coverage, paint protectant, and all manner of add-ons imaginable. I got the payment book in the mail and sat on the curb in front of my house...tears filling my eyes and cascading down my cheeks....looking at the sheer number of payments I'd have to make to pay it off....I thumbed through the payment book...seemingly thousands of payment stubs....the sound of each stub flipping past my thumb punctuated only by the sound of my sobbing. The car is paid off now....has 300,000-miles....I'm gonna drive it until I die....never again. The best car is a paid off car.

You couldn't legally here in England at that age anyway. You could apply for a provisional licence (i.e. not a full one that would you allow you out on the road unaccompanied) at 16 - 17,and then start taking lessons. I received a lesson or two from my uncle when out somewhere in his car with him when I was 14.
I am almost turning 19 and never got a car, my parents never had money to afford me one and i don't blame them at all. I'm in college, wich leads me to do about 110 kms a day (by train and bus) and because of that i don't have time to work while studying, wich means that until I am about 24 years old and start working and making actual money, i will not have a car.
heres a tip for finding a car you dont know where it is. look at the key and see the logo. then you track down the cars that have that logo and test the key on it :)

I didn't say anything and after 11 months he crashed the car, he flipped the 2004 celica. One month later he got another car and me nothing. 4 months later HE crashed that car. And me Nothing. After 2 years my dad gave me a car because I was about to go to college. My brother is now on his 5th car and I've had my 2010 Camry for 1 year now and still going:). Talk about a Karma right!!! XD

umm what. you drive with a parent at 15 then when u are 6 u can only drive with only one person and they only can be like a brother or sister then after a few months it goes up to like 2 or 3 friends, and how do u not know this?

when you are 15 you can have a permit and at 16 if you pass the drivers test you can drive alone. that's how it is here anyways
