Hey just wanted to stop in and say I love this series! I listen to it while I’m doing my closing shift, keep up the awesome work and thank you for all the content.
32:50 I have to give you kudos on this interaction. See, I don't care too much for the RP side of things in general. You are the only exception because I think you do it REALLY well in the CDDA series. I am also a bit empathetic at times, which makes some RP stuff feel a little too awkward or whatever, but in cases like these where you are very into the characters mindset and their thoughts, the RP stuff can hit the empathy feels in strong ways. I also think Dusk would have made the decision she did here and it hit the empathy feels a bit hard. Good work my dude!
38:22 I like that you can encounter ferals with psychic or magical powers it just makes sense with the mods you're running and the fact that Dusk isn't the first or only wizard survivor in the setting
That closed off section of underground railway would make such a sick base if there were reason to use it! There's even fresh water right at the entrance
The reason why you most likely haven't looked into this vent shaft yet is just very likely because its very recent that they actually display those, beforehand it just said "forest". You may remember this from... a while ago of the quest from the center which just send you in the woods and you couldn't find the entrance, because back then it would still just say "forest"
I do hope that Dusk spends some time practicing her dark arts and psychic disciplines. She would have so many more fun battle enhancements to call upon if she could get their mana/fatigue cost down and reduce the time needed to cast/manifest the effects. Reviving Elliot is the ultimate goal, but I don't think she'll get there without being able to wipe a town clean of the undead menace. Either way, it would be another satisfying milestone for Dusk if she switches from a stand tall and conquer attitude from her current evade and subsist mindset. I loved her decision not to do the NPCs quest. It shows that Dusk has suffered too much heartache from all of her fallen comrades over the years. She is effectively immortal, but she can still feel. Dusk hasn't become so jaded with all of her many lives that she can easily deal ignore the pangs of loss the way a supernatural or alien creature that is naturally immortal would.
Seconding all of this. Dusk has so many cool spells/abilities, but very few of them are practical to use in an emergency. It's a melancholy feeling, having to turn the NPC away, but it's for his own good.
I saw that vent shaft and immediately had visions of "Tekeli-li!" and started to panic! So sad that the map gen failed on that one... That lab specifically is one of my favorites.

i had a pet carrier with a chicken in my lifting field, and the damn thing dropped. i almost started crying lmao. it was my friend
I drank the black water out of curiosity one time. That was not a good idea.
👀👀👀
i had that exact same generation at a lab vent like that on a world created a month or so ago. very strange.
I imagine it's something that's been patched
Fun times, love a good bit of chill travel.
Best wishes
Just remember to not stay in the same place for more than a day or you'll get even more irradiated
I hope you got all 4 of the crystal piles that you smashed.
