We are just as thankful for you Valerie. You are an amazing woman. The way you love and care for your family is an inspiration. We need more of that in today's world. Have a wonderful holiday season ❤
I am 76 and cooked turkey, homemade stuffing from my homemade bread, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, homemade potato rolls, pumpkin, pecan, and key lime pie. I used to make other dishes, but now stick to the favorites. Your Thanksgiving looked like a real feast. Now to get ready for Christmas.
Love watching you cook Valerie ❤ Here’s a pro tip when working with parchment paper. Crumple it up into a ball, unwrap it and it forms and stays in the pan or bowl way better.
Ms Val you have no idea how thankful so many of your viewers are for you and your family sharing. Not everyone is as blessed with family and financial means as you, home alone etc. Watching and listening to you is like having ppl that care more so than your family, which some of us barely ever see or hear from. Sad, but true............thanks for entertaining, keeping our company, teaching us cleaning, decorating, diy, cooking etc. That's one of the reasons God keeps sending Blessing your way, you use yours to Bless others just by being your sweet self. 🙏❤🙏
We had much of the same menu as you just cooked for Thanksgiving. Watching you cook reminds me of the many hours my mother spent in the kitchen cooking so many wonderful dishes for us to eat. Thank you for being so humble and inviting us into your world!!
Omg Valerie, you and Tim did a great job preparing dinner! It all looked delicious, even the marshmallows didn't look bad to me! We had so much food for Thanksgiving dinner with 20 family and friends present that there's too much to list here, but I can tell you it was more than enough for everyone to take leftovers home! ❤
It could have been worse!...like.. .sweet potatoes ON THE FLOOR 😱🤣🤣 I remember the deep fryer last year too. You are sunshine on my rainy day...for that...I thank you!
Today we have celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. We’ve just had a meal out with our family, it was lovely. On the 17th of December my husband will have his 70th birthday and we will do the same. I can’t think of anything better
Just heard it was your anniversary.. we just celebrated 40! Just go do whatever y’all enjoy and reminisce about your life together. No cooking or cleaning allowed! Lol
Our son cooked a pig, so the rest of us made the sides. We had enough food to feed a not so small army. We live in eastern NC, but I wish I lived closer to our NC mountains, our youngest son lived in the mountains for a while and I loved it.I Love where you live. Your feast looked so Good. PRAYERS
We had Ham, turkey, dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce, banana pudding, fruit salad and chocolate chip pecan pie for Thanksgiving. I've never had deep-fried turkey but it sounds delicious along with all the other items you cooked!!!
And we are so very thankful for you Valerie, that you share your lives with us. Always so interesting. You bring a lot of joy to us as well. And as I've said before, you are the most efficient cook I've ever seen! What a feast! It all looks so amazing. And I bet the boys still loved the sweet potato casserole! It doesn't look bad at all. I bet you were tired! If I could ever do anything like that, I'd be exhausted -- but I could never do it! Great job!!
My sweet Valerie, you need to write a Cook Book! I think it would sell out super fast. Your recipes, with some of your photos. There is a real market for homestead cooking. Thank you for sharing with us!
Thank you, Tim and Valerie for sharing your preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday. It was so heartwarming. Tim is certainly the turkey cooking master, and those delicious dishes you made Valerie. Yummy!!!!! You and TIm are such lovely people, and I am thankful I found you channel and began watching a while back. Just love your whole family!
Thank you for sharing your life. You have big hearts to watch out for Granny so she can be with family. You are a remarkable woman and you and Tim have raised beautiful children. There's hope for tomorrow watching you. Thanks and God Bless!
I was so happy to see you posted another video. Your food looked amazing. Good job on the turkey Tim. All the respect to you guys for taking in Tims mom so she didnt have to go to the nursing home!!!!
Just know Valerie, We love you, and you bring joy to our lives as well. I so look forward to every video! Your videos make me happy, and they also inspire me❤
We had ham, dressing, green bean casserole, candied sweet potato casserole,a rice and vermicelli dish that my grandmother always fixed, rolls, and fruit salad. We didn’t do a turkey because most don’t care for it. Oh yea and chicken and dumplings. Dessert was peach cobbler and ice cream and/or pecan pie.
Whenever yellow squash is in season, I get as much as I can possibly handle. I spend a good half a day washing it, cutting it and cooking it. I will also add the onions just like you did. I put it in baggies and freeze it. If it needs to be cooked more, that’s not a problem. It’s one of my favorite veggies. I put all kinds of things in my squash. I have added hamburger, RoTel tomatoes, croutons, cheese, you name it. Sometimes is just plain squash with a little butter and salt.
My husband and I also were married in December. My husband wanted to get married on Christmas Day and I wish now we would have but I was concerned that most people wouldn’t want to attend a wedding on Christmas Day. I think your anniversary should be spent however it makes y’all happy and memorable.
Thanks for making the corn casserole. My Grandma used to make it. I asked my mom and aunt for the recipe and they couldn't ever give me hers....but watching you make yours, reminded me of her making hers! Soooo happy
You are amazing. I cant believe you made all that in one day! Holy cow..i was exhausted after watching you make three items. Your timing on all the food coming out hot was impeccable!
Half my family ( kids and grands) went to their in-laws house this year, so our other half (10) decided to do a complete Mexican meal. Later on my husband and I went to our Georgia house and had traditional thanksgiving there the next day, with cousins, sister, husband s of those. Had way too much food, but enjoyed leftovers. Friday afternoon they all helped me put up Christmas at our(2nd) home. Had a great time
We had Ham, Turkey, mashed taters, greenbean casserole, rolls, taco salad, cranberry sauce, apple pies, patachio and a chocolate dessert. Glad you had a good Thanksgiving. Happy Holidays 😊 Happy Anniversary. My husband and I will be married 30 yrs December 17th. I put shredded cheddar cheese in my corn casserole mix.
Thank you for saying how much we mean to you . Made my heart happy. You and the family mean a lot to me also. I enjoy keeping up on your home renovations and your puppets and kittens. Happy holidays to you all
For our Thanksgiving, we had Turkey, dressing, yams, cranberry sauce, smothered cabbage, and rolls and for dessert, we had pumpkin pie, Blueberry pie, and bourbon pecan pie. They were store bought but they were good and for my sister, and brother in-laws Thanksgiving dinner at his maw maw's house, they had ham, turkey, dressing, scalloped potatoes, gumbo, yams, cranberry sauce, deviled eggs, black eyed peas, peas with carrots, noodles with chicken, and rolls and for dessert, they had limon pie, cherry cheesecake, chocolate pecan pie, peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, and home made pumpkin pie but no one ate any of the pumpkin pie before brought it home with me.
Wow! What an incredible feast you and Tim created! It was so much fun watching it all come together. Happy Thanksgiving to you and all of your family, Valerie!! ❤
You should invest in those pans with the sterno burners. The pans are disposable with lids and they keep everything nice and warm until time to eat. I don't use them all of the time, but they are really handy for feasts or large family gatherings!
I got so hungry half way through I had to stop and eat. This is one of my favorite videos. We are thankful for you and that you are willing to share so much. Happiest of holidays to you.🎉
Celebrate your Anniversary with a dinner out, just you and Tim, Quality Time, Simple and Sweet! Gosh, looked like you’re cooking for an Army, lol, lots of Great food! 🤗❤️
Hi Valerie, I love watching you cook on your videos. I wanted to let you know if you drizzle some honey over your brussel sprouts and carrots about the last 10 minutes of them cooking they will be so much more delicious. I add sweet pickle relish to my deviled eggs and it gives them such a wonderful flavor. My husband and I deep fry our turkey too. It's so much better than a baked turkey. I'm so glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.
Just love watching you cook Valerie. You make such an awesome variety of healthy dishes. You work so hard. You have a lucky family. Hope you all enjoyed your day. Thank you for sharing. From Jeanette in Australia. ❤
Wow! What a feast you and Tim prepared. I watched it late at night. I got so hungry! I will be up early in the morning cooking some of these dishes for our lunch. There's just two of us so I won't be cooking as much as you did. We had all 12 of our family here for Thanksgiving, and we had a real feast, too. Having three grown daughters we do potluck for holidays. That way no one is exhausted. Each one of us has a specialty of good holiday foods, much as your menu. Love your channel. Hope your remodel is all done by Dec. 31st!
Wow Valerie, your table was groaning with all that divine food! Wish I could have snuck in quickly and tasted some 😋. You and Tim did an amazing job. Thanks so much for sharing ❤
Valerie , we make what we call holiday potatoes that you make the day before, 5 lbs potatoes , boiled and mash with 1 lb of softened butter , 1 block of cream cheese softened, and add sour cream and half and half , place in a foil pan and cover with foil and put in frig, in the morning take them out to come up to room temp and place in oven for 45 min stiring after 1/2 hr and remove foil , these potatoes can also be froze if you have a lot of left overs, be careful adding sour cream or they won’t be as thick ! They are so delicious and saves time on the day of preparing everything else Love your channel❤️❤️ Your meal looks delicious ❤️

My life was easy this year. We went out for dinner and a movie. My hat is off to you for all the cooking you did. I did miss the leftovers.
We don't have turkey for Thanksgiving any longer. Every year I would make a roast turkey along with roast beef and all the sides and they would practically lick the platter the beef was on and there would barely be any turkey eaten. It turns out no one really likes turkey! This year we had New York Strip Steaks and Shrimp along with what I call a Cowboy Charcuterie. We only eat meat here so the charcuterie had salami, sausage and a variety of cheeses. It was perfect!
Happy Anniversary Valerie & Tim! Love your channel & your enthusiasm to keep on going in this life!
I remember watching your Thanksgiving video last year you and your family have achieved so much in the past year sending hugs 🤗🇬🇧
Valerie I am truly grateful for you and your family sharing love from the UK xx

Wishing you and your sweet family a very Happy Thanksgiving.

You are a wonderful generous person Valerie and it makes my day when I see you’ve posted another video. Bless you and your family. So glad you are warm one cozy with the wood stove to heat you up. ❤
My God, you love aluminum foil. You could use half of what you use to wrap all the things you wrap. Try it, see how much you save. It is so expensive.
If you are thinking of growing your own - now might be a good idea to start a compost bin
We deep-fried a turkey one year it was good, but we like the baked better. Girl you outdid yourself, what a beautiful dinner.
HAPPY THURSDAY Valerie, family, and fur babies. THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR DAY! FOOD LOOKED DELISH. STTB
