anazing job, i like the dollar tree stuff, but showing how to do a more traditional tday with an actual turkey was great. i especially like the way you prepare the turkey early, saves from buying broth, the bread making is always awesome. can i suggest a playlist with the episodes where you make things with the flour? it would be useful to have in one place for us to find, when we want to make pasta, pirogi, breat etc.. great job, happy tday.
I appreciate you sharing your creativity in your videos! I’ve actually learned a lot from you over the years! I’m making Thanksgiving dinner for just my son & I this year. We normally eat at my Mother’s, but anyway… thank you for your tips! You’re amazing! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁
Aldi's has white sandwich bread for 98 cents. Perfect for making stuffing. For Rolls they have Hawaiian Rolls for $1.95. Today I scored Atlantic Salmon Fillets for 50% off so I'm adding that to my Thanksgiving meal. I like cooking the Turkey the day off as it just makes the whole house smell so wonderful. After Thanksgiving we pick all the meat off and Roast the bones in the oven til they are browned. Once browned they go in a large stainless pot on the stove with water and veggie scraps and cooked down for 2 days on low. Makes the best bone broth ready to can. I make my homemade pumpkin pie crust the night before as well as cook the pumpkin and make puree from our home grown pumpkins.
I added sage sausage by Jimmy Dean cooked and crumbled into the stuffing, also 1 apple chopped up with 2cups of dried cranberries plumped up n water first then drained..and just the zest of one orange .. and 1 cup of walnut pieces… it was the best stuffing I ever made.. just a suggestion Only thing missing is the cranberry sauce
39:48 Your pot isn’t leaking, but unfortunately the base is starting to split from the rest of the pot 😢 a little bit of water has gotten into the gap during washing, and then when you heat the pot it boils out. Sadly, this means that your pot will start to have patchy/poor heat conduction and eventually the bottom of the pot might come off completely … It happened to me and I had to get a new pot in the end 😢
I love all ur videos!! It really inspires me to cook more stuff from scratch u always make it look so easy.. everything looks delicious and i cant believe u made all thst for $25!
Happy Thanksgiving, Lovey. My husband and I have gotten so much from your wonderful videos, he has been sharing them with guys at work and just know: You are fulfilling part of your life's purpose.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
What a great video! Almost same price as DT or DG but you got a full turkey. Plus you showed how to use the turkey to flavor everything. I'm surprised you didn't use the butter and some sugar to carmelize the bananas before you put them in the pie.
I love these videos especially your dollar tree and dollar general one ..my dad hates Turkey and I'm not a fan but your bird was still pretty and hams are ok I generally wait until after thanksgiving..when they're half off or cheaper and get a couple and freeze them we're not rich just cheap lol..but I'm in a different part of the south but I definitely like your kinda cooking ..not sure if you have WinCo out where you are but sometimes they have turkey .59-66¢ a pound or spend so much and get a free one .we have a Albertsons and they got a 50% off bin in the meat and sometimes if you go early you can get things like t bones .we hardly ever get anything that great..so after finding a pack for the price of a family pack of hamburger I figured get them and surprise my old man..he doesn't ask for much and I'm thankful for the old goat .lol but I was looking for a good bread recipe and I'm so swiping yours it looked great ..as usual great video and Happy Thanksgiving everyone you too Lisa
I really love your videos and need more of them. I need a video on Instapot! When to use certain buttons, when to "seal" the pressure valve, and recipes! Lots of LOVE sent from Aberdeen Washington!!! 💙🖤💙
Wow your prices are so much better than ours in Canada, just got home from our discount grocery store and picked up a small celery for 3.89 , no name butter was 6.99 for example.
We got our 20 lb. turkey at our local Food Depot for $8.40...they were on sale for $.45/pound! I have been cooking my turkeys in Reynolds Cooking Bags for over 40 years, and they come out great every time...
actually that's pretty smart to part out the turkey.....bake the breast then another meal the legs would make a awesome soup...wings another meal, thighs another meal.❤❤❤
Happy Thanksgiving Lisa! Random question if you're reading comments-how do you keep your knives sharp? I got so jealous watched you cleave right through the celery, mine make a stringy mess 😂
wow great video friend! i love aldi we have 2 in my area. and i always find great deals there. how was that brand of turkey? ive never tried honeysuckle brand i usually get butterball. may try it for xmas. couple friends didnt care for this brand. but im willing to try it. happy thanksgiving to you and your family!
You are so smart!!! Why couldn't I have seen this video sooner so I could be cooking my turkey now! And cutting the legs, thighs, wings off...genius. I'm over here getting snacks ready for tomorrow, homemade chex mix and the old school dried beef cheese ball that we devour. Hope you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for your videos! ❤
The stuffing looks better than the box stuff.👍don’t you poke the single layer crust saw it doesn’t pop up. That fork pokes will keep it down.. it looks great the meal………….you did a fabulous job……
YAY!!!! What a treat, I LOVE your videos. I was just watching your videos on bread making!! Mine came out very dense, maybe I didn't let rise enough. Lisa!!! I NEED a video on using Instapot!!! I don't know how to use mine! I need recipes and how to use different buttons on machine. When to use rice button, when to pressure cook, when not to or do I always "seal" the pressure valve. Please please please HELP!!!! 💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙
I was hoping you were going to spatchcock that turkey like you did last year. I cannot find that video though . I think it was you that made the video though.
If you didn't roll the loaves you wouldn't get that crack you seem to get. I just dump the dough. Pull the ends in and dump it into the loaf pan and I haven't gotten that crack issue.
Yummy!!! FYI a roux is simply the fat and flour mixture. Not the gravies or sauces you make with it. Did you know you can make a big batch of roux, and freeze it in ice cube tray to pull out to make gravies etc any time! Can plop it right into the liquid. 😊
Love your content. Maybe next year you can do one for Publix? Do you have Publix in your area? Every year they have their own brand of low cost turkey for .49 cents per pound. You can easily get a 10-14 pound for no more than $7, and that along with a lot of BOGO items, which you only have to buy one of, could work for a thanksgiving that’s around $25-$30 dollars.
Just pour water into the cavity and add vegetables inside that give off a lot of water and your turkey won't be dry. There's no point in buying a whole turkey if you're not leaving it whole.
Cutting the turkey up before cooking is a great idea!
Happy Thanksgiving Lisa to You Mom and Andrew!
Happy Thanksgiving.. Lisa, Andrew & Lisa's Momma!🤎🦃🍽🙏🏻

Doesn't it come with a manual??
It likely did come with a manual (if it was bought brand new) but some people find it easier to learn by watching how it’s done. I know I do!
Awsome video. I enjoy learning little tricks along with you. Thanks!
Thanks so much for another great video and cooking lesson.
Glad you dont edit the whoopsies! 😊
