Marchand has a more recent suspension than 2018. He was suspended for 4 games in 2021-2022 for sucker punching Tristan Jarry. He still gets booed in Pittsburgh for it.
I've played in beer leagues that allowed full contact, and despite being in phenomenal shape, when two grown ass men collide it's hard af. I was the only guy who threw body checks that first season, I did it twice it hurt like hell, i did one more little one, that still hurt, so I just stopped.
The trick to dealing with Corey Perry is to find a Lady Byng winner who can fight but nobody knows they can. Perry answers the bell against them and then gets to deal with ignominy of not winning the fight.
@@jaylipinski1443 Not at all. In recent memory you have the incident with him and Ryan Hartman that got him suspended, others with Jason Zucker, Devan Dubnyk, and the water bottle he tossed at Nazem Kadri.
Not a fan of Wilson but it's funny how many times Crosby has slammed guys heads on the ice while on top of them right infont of the officials and they just turned their heads. He's done it to giroux a few times. You just don't do that.
crosby has gotten away with SO MUCH he shouldn't have. If other players did some of the things he has done like spearing, slashing, smashing heads or whatever they'd get theit ass's suspended
Doughty saying tkachuk isnt really that good is just funny. Tkachuk is easily one of the most all around good players you want to have on a winning team. He may not be the type of player to be flashy like mcdavid or bedard, but hes going to get the job done.
KARMA FOR THESE PLAYERS: - Ulf Samuelsson: sucker punched by Tie Domi in 1995-96 - Nazem Kadri: injured by Evander Kane in the 2022 playoffs, Tim Peel called it “karma” - Sean Avery: received an obscene gesture by James Wisniewski early in the 2010-11 season - Tom Wilson: injury in the follow up game to the Buchnevich/Panarin incident - Corey Perry: the fight against Nick Foligno after injuring Tavares
Though Kadri would get a dose of his own medicine in the 2022 Western Conference Finals when he received a hit from Edmonton's Zach Kassian, Kassian did receive a 1 game suspension for it, showing that some players may stoop to Kadri's level when given the opportunity based on what he had done in the years before. Every time I see that Marchand lick I can always hear Paul Romanuk saying "it has been a night, of spite" as the broadcast was going to a commercial break. One time during the 2018-19 season, in a Battle of Alberta match-up Matthew Tkachuk delivered a hit on Zach Kassian, and after McDavid came in Tkachuk turtled when Kassian started throwing some rights at him. A year later Tkachuk would trade blows with Ethan Bear just as Flames goalie Cam Talbot began making his way to center ice where Oilers goalie Mike Smith was waiting for him. That was a wild night in Calgary.
Imagine no more Jack Edward's on NESN. Alex Faust the LA Kings Play by play announcer is on NESN as of now (September 24th 2023 New York Rangers vs. Boston Bruins)
He's only surpassed by Wilson. Gallagher has no business there. Kadri has been consistently over-suspended while Marchand was under-suspended. The guy who made that list knew that controversy would bring comments.
Turtlechuk is everything a hockey player should NOT be. Not sure what he's like off the ice, but running around, charging people, like a 4th grader on meth, and then hiding under the teachers desk when challenged is NOT how real players approach the game. Seeing him get ragdolled by the likes of Kassian and then thumped by Kolesar in the finals tells me he is not very tough at all. And watching him melt down as his team loses, instead of leading by example, just furthers my belief. I predict that he will get banged out regularly this coming season and will not be able to handle the chirping and taunting the he so richly deserves.
This is the problem. Players don't respect each others anymore. Now Don Cherry was correct, you have to let enforcers take care of the on ice dangers. You can't leave it to the refs. I am not saying Georges Laraque should not be playing hockey, he's actually an awesome player. I am an absolute huge fan of Georges because he's amazing. BUT, unfortunately Gainey treated him like a goon, which he is NOT. He can absolutely mess you up BAD, and that's the guy you let decide when they will go or not. I want Georges back although probably too late now. But that kind of high level player that can absolutely demolish other guys if it's warranted. Leaving it to refs, tough job sure no doubt, is just asking players to take liberties. Honest question, you think Eric Lindros would pick on Geroges Laraque? Once. Just once.
Kadri had a career season and a cup winning playoff and Calgary paid him way too much and he flat out quit down the stretch when they were pushing for the final wildcard spot.
Though the Tkachuks are great players, they are spoiled hockey royalty brats. The douche baggery is at the utmost level. Tho Matthew got hurt, that kolesar hit turned him from a hyena to a timid fawn and the look on his face was priceless. He's definitely a player that people have a love/hate thing for him
I'm not a Habs fan at all but Gallagher doesn't belong on this list. The rest on this list would carve you up in a second , Gallagher per say is not a dirty player. He's a little guy with a never quit attitude.
Tom Wilson should have played in the 80’s, he’d be in the hospital. At least 10 tough guys would have beaten him senseless. The commentator knows little about NHL league fines. He states that Wilson was only fined $5,000 for his hit on Panarin. That is the maximum fine, as agreed to by the NHLPA, in the collective bargaining agreement. You cannot be fined more. This is not the idiotic NBA, or NFL. He should do know this before he reports to the public.
Do you think Matt Tkachuk is bad? Do you know who his father is?? Keith Tkachuk was a prick on wheels when he played…and as a decades-long Jets fan, I would know. Tkachuk Sr. would be simply infamous if he had played in a major media market.

I miss Chuk being in the Pacific Ngl, Playing The Flames doesnt really feel as exciting/intense anymore. Honestly rather have players make some poorly aged takes and add some sauce to a rivalry than give us some bland npc answers like McDavid lol. Kings fan of course.
You nailed it on Kadri, Marchand, Wilson and Perry. Yes both have done some questionable antics on the ice but overall they are both dope players and I think people can easily be jealous about both not being on their team as a result. They would never admit shit but it is so easy to speculate this cause they immediately ignore you and stop bitching which means they are cowards and know I am right when I call em out.
Kadri is a piece of shit that has intentionally concussed multiple players and has been suspended plenty of times. Marchand literally holds the record for having the most suspensions in NHL history. He has gotten better over the years, though.
I could have sworn that Marchand got suspended about two years ago or so for hitting Tristan Jarry in the face with his stick when the Penguins were playing the Bruins in Boston.
The top 6 most hated players list should read like this 6: Brad Marchant 5: Matthew Tkachuk 4: Corey Perry 3: Brad Marchant 2: Matthew Tkachuk 1: Corey Perry. Yea those 3 pukes!!
Think about what a pos Corey Perry or Tkachumpsky is. Imagine a world where a guy can safely assault another person yet face no prosecution or violation of any kind. If an opposing player ask them to answer for their transgressions they will usually say no unless the person that asks is nof tough. And if the guy they say no to takes matters into his own hands, he will put his team down a man.
