I am an older adult and I visited in 2020 and loved every minute of my stay. I've also stayed at their Cancun hostel, had a wonderful stay there too. I wouldn't choose it for a quiet time, but, I had a great stay at both and made some terrific friendships during my visits. The prices have increased substantially since my first visit to Cancun back in 2019, though I imagine it may still be a great deal depending on the time of year you book. I've stayed twice at the one in Cancun, I would for sure visit the Isla one again if I visit the area in the future.
I'm going in mid-july, I know Nomads is a private beach if I'm not mistaken, is there anyway that we can just pay to kick back there for a couple of hours? Obviously we're staying in Cancun and have no need for a room on Isla Mujeres....but that Beach setting looks dope af.
The view is great, not such a great swim beach though, very rocky.
NIGHTMARE FOR COUPLES! Overpriced ‘hotel rooms’ in a hostel with loud party music all day until 2 am. Unfriendly and uninterested staff at the reception who do not care to give you a good stay. I stayed here 3 nights to celebrate my honeymoon, but I wish I had the guts to leave this place after our first night. Instead of catching some sleep and relaxing, we had a very unpleasant stay.
Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy this place. I traveled there with my fiancé and we had a great time. The pool could have been a little cleaner just to keep it real. I actually wanted more action 😅. I heard they have a live DJ on Thursdays. Wish I could have experienced it. Another thing, my fiancé would have liked a TV in our private room, that’s about it. For a more quiet time I’d recommend Izla. It’s very nice, quiet and the price is right in my opinion. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I am I no way affiliated with Nomads. Wow, I’d love to stay there for all of March!! From what I recall the Internet was good enough for my needs. I mainly used it to upload a few videos to TH-cam channel and other platforms with no issues. I noticed plenty of people on their laptops sitting on the benches at the beach area entrance. Seems like this place caters to people who work remotely. Hope this helps and that you have a great time out there! Thanks for watching.

Yeah I have daily meetings (no need for video).. as well as task management and media consumption.. hopefully everything works out
@@WeiFinder How was the Internet? I use Teams to speak to people but not video much and download a lot of small attachments etc.
@@torotaxi1 Hi, I stayed in a modern/nice airbnb in front of Playa Zicatela for 1 week and the internet was horrible at around 300kbs going on and off, basically unusable. But I then stayed at Selina Puerto Escondido for 40 days and the internet was super solid. I was getting 20-40 megabits per second there which is not amazing by international standards but it had low latency and always worked reliably at any hour, video calls no problem, I even played AAA games from my room at the top of the estate (far from wifi source) with friends/family back in Canada with no issue.
@@torotaxi1 Oh sorry, just saw this is a comment section for Isla Mujeres. The internet was super solid at Selina Isla Mujeres as well. Reliable and stable similar to Selina Puerto Escondido, reached my room (and around the estate) as well.
