Not a vibrato, a Tremolo controled by the Drop knob. Intensity (self explanatory)for the phaser, Image controls the regeneration (the amount of signal fed back) into the phasing circuit.

Mr. Fender still has me confused on those terminologies 😅
I call it a tremolo later in the video!
      Thanks for watching 😁

I can be wrong , but is it not more a Tremelo effect then it is a vibrato ?

Finally, a cool demo of this pedal! I wanted the Thang for SO long, but never found one at a decent price. If you'd like to get a similar sound with a pedal, buy a Zoom MultiStomp and experiment with combining various effects.

I appreciate the kind words! I was turned on to the pigtronix moon pool, which seems to almost be an expansion on this idea, I’d check it!
I love the zoom multistomp series, the digitech ones are pretty damn cool too 🤩

Thanks for the fun demo. I got one couple of months ago as I started to collect some DOD pedals, this one stay on my board as the FX25 and the FX35.

Ty! Oh man.. I’ve always wanted both of those, especially the 35 ✨👀✨

Check out the TC Nova Modulator. 2 independent mod sections that can sync LFO- each can be chorus, vibrato, tremolo, phaser, or flanger.

Great video. This was my first vibe/trem pedal and it’s great. It’s unique. It has a lonely tone. To understand that you’d have to use the pedal.it led me to UniVibe and Leslie, but I still have mine. I think I paid $20AUD for it in the 90s.

I appreciate the kind words! I agree, it’s sorta something you have to use to “get it”. Thanks for watching man :)
$20 aud??? Jealous! That would’ve been basically new then, Interesting how perspectives change

My favorite trem pedal. Although I much prefer the last version they made. It's got more headroom, doesn't color the tone, and has a lot more speed available. Although your version actually gets pretty fast. Most if those earlier models do not unless modded, which yours prob is
But I agree, the LFOs being synced are why it's great. At certain settings it does a very good "brown" tremolo, which is my favorite setting. You can actually feel the throb in your chest with your amp cranked up. Better than the onboard trem on my Twin for sure.

Oh man, that’s some really interesting info, I’ll have to crack it open to see if something was done within! I actually did a corrective mod on my death metal I should probably document.. (it was self oscillating so loud that even off you could hear it, I isolated the source and eliminated this without changing the pedals overall sound)
And it’s totally true, the later versions of a lot of these pedals often do sound better. Let’s try to keep that on the down low DOD pedals cost enough as it is 😅😅😅.
If you’re ever hunting for something new I was turned on to the pigtronix moon pool, which seems to be a modern riff on this concept.
Ty for watching and taking the time to comment!

@The Q Show I wonder if your model might actually be a transitional model. I don't think I've ever seen one with your graphics. Most of the old models do not say "tremolo/phaser" on them. Super unique, you might have a gem there. It could have the latest components they used but not the same enclosure. Definitely interesting. Hang onto that one.

@@LeviBulger actually I think this was the first version they put out. As I understand it they started with the funky designs and ambiguous settings and as time went on went to the more plain 90s designs and more clear terminologies.
They’re all so cool tho! I’ll definitely hold on to this one :)

Do u find it darkens your tone? Mine is cool but it darkens my tone on regular tremolo mode

    • @TheQShow
      @TheQShow  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Definitely a little, but I find any analog trem doesn’t let those super highs through I suppose. Does it come across here that way or is yours a little different?

If its this exact one, pending condition and if you have the box $150ish, any other look $100 or less. Altho I find demand differs country to country, if it's the only one in your area you get to name the price, or keep it for yourself :)
