Looks like a #10 more than the kind of winger/striker hybrid that CRonaldo is but I suppose since they're Portuguese the comparison was inevitable. For instance, Felix doesn't seem to have the absolutely absurd directness and quickness of CRonaldo at the same age (acceleration, rapid foot movement, overall athletic ability, and desire to beat players 1v1) but Felix's awareness of his teammates and passing ability seem superior to CRonaldo's at the age (or any age really). In other words, to reiterate what I first said, Joao Felix looks more like a #10 with goal scoring ability, much like Kaka.
Also, for those of you who might not be aware of him yet, look up Kai Havertz. Havertz and Felix have very similar traits and are the same age (Havertz is like 6 months older). We'll probably see a lot of comparisons between the two in the next decade.

JF7 uses his brain on the pitch and that is somthing only great players do. Its almost like he is playing chess and not footbal. At his age CR7 and LM10 both chose to run and show off individual talent, JF7 however choses to play tactically and drives the whole team with him. That just shows the level of maturity, confidence and impeccable brain power he puts into his play. He is not short of skill either as we ve all been jaw dropped by his amazing run against Getafe (reminding us a little bit of that legendary Leo messi's goal against the same team). All of his coaches and collegues testify that he is a hard worker and a good listener. Honestly in my opinion, if he continues at this pace and stays fit, we are probably now witnessing the birth of a football all time legend.

But still he's best of his generation technically and tactically. For example you can see the preseason when Atletico were playing open and possession based games.

I am a Benfica fan. What Benfica has been doing in its youth system is incredible. This is probably the best player we have developed since Bernardo Silva, however there are more players with an incredible talent.
I have no doubts regarding Felix, he will be a world class player, I am not sure if this is the right time to move to a different league though, I think it will better for him if he stays for longer as he can still develop a lot in Benfica. I think after Ronaldo this will be the best Portuguese player of this generation, a serious candidate for future individual awards. Anyway, he needs to keep working hard, that's the most important thing as he is still very young. Nothing comes without hard work.

Hoping João stays at Benfica for another two seasons. I am a Porto fan, but I still really hope for that. So many young Portuguese talent ruin their careers in vain pursuits of early glory. People say they want him at Liverpool, PSG, or even Madrid. For what?? To warm their benches for a season and be loaned out afterwards? These great teams suck at promoting young talent in their main teams. They have too much on the line to play youngsters and give them the time they need. Until they are 21/22 they should only worry about getting minutes on the pitch playing first team football for a decent team. Stay away from these big clubs! Move there when you have experience and can walk into their main team. Not before. Look at the many examples of players whose careers and potential have halted since moving: Renato Sanches(euro golden boy, now, unremarkable benchwarmer at Bayern), Diogo Dalot (young promise who played Champions League football at age 18, now warms mediocre full-back Ashley Young's bench while Unitted are continuously linked with other more experienced fullbacks), Gonçalo Guedes (did he even get to warm PSG's bench?)... it goes on. The most important thing for a young player is to PLAY on a regular basis. Get experience. Ronaldo only succeeded because Alex Ferguson was masterful at developing young players. Had he followed the path of these youngsters now, he would have become an irrelevant player as well. Let's see what João does. If he goes to Liverpool he will play a max total of like 500 minutes the whole of next season, which is devastating to a young players' career.
None of EPL teams top 6 really suits his style position so i think he should go to other league teams like Dortmund to replace Reus as CAM.
Serie a is the right league for him.Any team apart from juve can give him minutes.

100% facts, can't agree with you more. Happy I haven't heard city in the mix to sign him either. These young talents need minutes to develop, minutes these established elite clubs can't readily give out to fledgling players. Another 2 or 3 years at Benefica would be best.
I'm a Benfica fan and if João Félix leaves I want him to play in Man city with Bernardo silva and Guardiola...he would grow so much...I hope Portugal keeps having talents like this...theres a world cup to win in the future

A meu ver, sao as melhores equipas para o miudo crescer, pois n têm jogadores "absurdos" que roubem o lugar dele (como aconteceu com o renato), e para alem disso, uma equipa que pague 100 milhoes por um jogador (rumores do man united), a meu ver tem de aproveitar o mesmo, pois senao é muito dinheiro jogado fora ;)

To play in england Félix would need to gain quite a bit of muscle and weight. Football is very physical in the PL and the refs don't whistle everytime a player falls down, like in Portugal and Spain.

I didn’t know his name, but I watch the quarterfinal against Frankfurt and I thought who is this young face fella, he just stood out. Noted his shirt number and got here. He is going to be one great player if he doesn’t suffer any injuries, if he continues his development with the right team.
Gedson Fernandes played better in that game to be fair. Hes from Benfica too and is just as young as Joao Felix. I think those two are gonna be world class in a few years

Unless they pay the release clause of currently 120 mil, benfica will hold on to him for another season. They youth academy is by far the best in the world. Portugal will be World Cup champs in the next few years because of these Benfica youth players
