Dear Hayder - sorry, I just saw your question here. QSM cannot directly measure iron, but iron can be a large component of the QSM and correlate well with iron. These are good papers to get you started: Langkammer, Christian, Nikolaus Krebs, Walter Goessler, Eva Scheurer, Franz Ebner, Kathrin Yen, Franz Fazekas, and Stefan Ropele. ‘Quantitative MR Imaging of Brain Iron: A Postmortem Validation Study’. Radiology 257, no. 2 (November 2010): 455-62. doi.org/10.1148/radiol.10100495. Langkammer, Christian, Ferdinand Schweser, Nikolaus Krebs, Andreas Deistung, Walter Goessler, Eva Scheurer, Karsten Sommer, et al. ‘Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping (QSM) as a Means to Measure Brain Iron? A Post Mortem Validation Study’. NeuroImage 62, no. 3 (September 2012): 1593-99. doi.org/10.1016/j.neuroimage.2012.05.049.
Thank you very much
I am deeply grateful to you!!
Thank you so much
Can the QSM measure the iron level in the tumor, if it can? How? 🙏🙏
