Our new Welsummer pullets.

After careful consideration, we decided on getting new Welsummer pullets. But when we got home we found that some were in poor condition. In my opinion it was down to to many birds in an area. But thankfully they are bouncing back and looks like we have found a great breed for our homestead.
Be careful when buying chicks or pullets. Check them before driving off. I had a 5 hour round trip, so could just go back with them.

Welsummers are a great breed. I'm confident that your birds will fully bounce back in their new environment. The hatchery IMO is full of it. mini- molt, my eye. They had some nerve selling them in such shocking condition. Overcrowding is what I think happened to them. They're looking much better already.
