I love how in the beginning people are laughing because the lyrics are clever, and cute. But after the solo it gets all quiet. Something about that part is so sad, so true.
I don't like to be that person that's all "HER OLDER STUFF IS BETTER", but I really do enjoy her simpler, slower-paced originals. I think they're more down to Earth and beautiful. That is all. Love Regina
"it's been a long time since before i've been touched now i'm getting touched all the time, and its only a matter of whom and its only a matter of when" that is so sad and sweet =/
Cool version. It is slower. And the solo part is just piano, not synthesizer like more recently. Plus that little touch at the end like the batteries are going dead. Hadn't heard that in other versions. While this is great, I do seem to be drawn to her live beat-box version at the McCarren Pool. Maybe cuz of the little dance beat, but probably mostly because you get to see her visually, which always beats out one with no video. :) I'm mostly kidn', I did love this version.
i love this version! but i love the album version too haha. to me it seems like they're almost different songs, because the album version is like a really fast upbeat song, while this one is kinda slow...
Regina casts a spell like no one else does. That's what has happened to you. I should know, cuz I'm under it too. And what makes it confusing is that no one has done that to me before like her. I'm like, 'what is happening to me?' 'Isn't she just a girl performing above average music'. Obviously 'not just' that. Otherwise I wouldn't be so drawn to her like I am. I get it and I don't all at the same time. Can anyone else elaborate on what's going on here. It can't be just me.
She's so sweet, so crazy (like me) and beautiful. that's why i love her. But now, i don't know why she needs a YAMAHA P250 keyboard, she can play it like this, it's nicer.

I always get so moved by this song. theres something in the melody that its just beautiful and sad.
The studio version should have keept the ending

I cried. So sweet. Love to Regina.

I'm so torn, I like the faster version on the album but I wish it had the ending (Possibly because I love this song so much I wish it lasted longer)

she's so funny :D
I like the slower tempo in this version. Do you know where she was?
Why hate someone for laughing at intentionally humorous things?
@jealousjeans i think her songs and voice just affect people that way; i feel that way about "I Found a Wallet"
I guess she allows them to have a good time. Yes? She's using odd inflections and whatnot. She's also using a slow tempo.
yeah, like a beatle. you buy an album and all the songs are cool.
Gman3thousand It's MEAT Market.
That’s the beauty of it, it can be either. It’s up to each listener to make what they will of it
lol "see her visually"
ha???
C'mon, am I wrong?
Am I wrong? c'mon!

I think it's 'meet market', a place where singles go to meet each other, no?
