If we take the rumor seriously, the source also said that Nintendo threatened to hand the job of making Astral Chain 2 to another studio they have been in contact with. This goes back to what I said in another video. Nintendo could easily get another studio to handle the game.
Do you really think another studio would be able to do it justice? The only other big external studio with experience in these types of games that comes to mind is team ninja (who have a good relationship with Nintendo). I just don't think they could do it justice.

The same thing happened with Metroid Prime, which came 4 or so years after the rumors started. Samus Hunter, which has a bad track record with leaks, was all over the Metroid rumors. The likelyhood of the zelda games coming to the switch is pretty low with the Switch 2 coming this year. So, these rumors will eventually be true, but that can be said of nearly anything that is repeated long enough. Moral of the story, don't believe rumors.

I haven't finished Astral Chain yet (it is very difficult to get into it after leaving it for a while), but every time I play the game I am amazed at how good it is. I really like this game, it has some magic in it!

My Switch backlog may never be checked off, but I would like to go back to Astral Chain. So many people say its a really good game. I like good games, so I should play it.
The Zelda remake/remaster could be Twilight Princess considering it will have its 20th anniversary next year (2026) so perhaps Nintendo will celebrate it with that. Another thought I have is the remake/ remaster is Ocarina of Time and Nintendo will follow that up with it's "sequels" Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, the latter being released again for it's anniversary.
Played 45 minutes of FF7 Rebirth on my Steam Deck and some shader issues and the occasional stutter in the cutscenes. But extremely playable. It does play at 30 fps at most. And expect downgraded graphics similar to the PS4’s version of FF7 Remake which was locked at 30 fps. This is pretty much what Switch 2 owners should expect next year when Rebirth comes out for them. Do not expect it to look as good as the PS5 Pro or higher end PC. And forget even the base PS5. But I was quite a bit surprised it could even play on my Steam Deck and at a fairly stable 30 fps. Remake could run at a minimum of 45 fps with moments at 60. I believe this is great news for Switch 2 owners. If you’ve only been a Nintendo owner, thinks Luigi’s Mansion 3 is one of the best looking games on the Switch 1, and can tolerate the stutters in Tears of the Kingdom, downgraded graphics of FF7 Remake and Rebirth should still impress you. The spirits of the Xbone and PS4 lives on in the Deck and Switch 2. Hopefully, by the time the Switch 2’s version of FF7 Rebirth comes out next year, all the shader issues and slight stuttering should be patched by then. And the Switch 2 version will probably have longer battery life since it’s better optimized for that hardware. Not complaining with FF7 Rebirth on the Deck. At least I can play it now.
I really really want Wind Waker HD on switch, but I also really really want an ocarina of time remake. And I also want to be able to play TotK in 60fps. So, just generally very excited and eager to see what Zelda content we get for switch 2.

There is no way that an entire department was deprived of lighting for a few months. This is a Japanese company of 300+ employees with 3 offices including one in central Tokyo area (Chiyodaku). I'm not sure how that AC2 rumor is bad news. If true, it confirms development of the sequel and Nintendo's commitment to it the series. I'm not sure there's enough details here to take the rumor seriously. The idea of Hideki Kamiya wasting money and resources is totally on brand for him. And at least one of the games the AC1 team were moved to afterwards would have been Final Fantasy 16. So much of it is plausible, it's just that, overall, it's too dated to be relevant.

I don’t understand everyone’s thirst for OoT. It’s available on N64, GameCube, every virtual console, NSO, and remade in HD on the 3DS. WW and TP are prohibitively expensive and locked to Nintendo’s two worst selling systems. They need to be available to potential customers. I fail to see how the Ocarina experience can be substantially improved aside from some environmental textures that they already have on 3ds.
I really hope the pokemon game will be for switch and switch 2 I know they might make it for just switch 2 but I’m hoping I can give my son one more Pokemon game before they switch over I may get the system earlier I’m not shore it depends on the line up but I know for my son that would be something that might be a next year thing

I would really like to see OoT remade and I think this is the game they will remake if they haven’t really done so and have it ready for announcement and release. Because those are games in high demand that are not available at all on modern hardware. They don't need to re-remaster them, just re-release them. OoT can already be played on switch NSO. WW and TP just cannot be played at all without hardware at least a decade old.
