- The monsters in My Singing Monsters are INSANE, but putting them all together to make an amazing song is one of the greatest accomplishments you can have PERIOD. I feel like Plant Island has the MOST classic Monsters, so let's go through them ALL today (yes, even the Rare and Epic ones) so we can find out which are the best and which are as bad as Shugabush.
Let me know what you thought of the format (normal, then Rare and Epic) the background music, and anything else! I really wanna do Cold Island as well, so let me know if you'd be down for a part 2.

Fun fact about Epic Noggin: When it was first revealed, they just showed his eye, and a lot of people thought they were going to wake up the Colossals (the islands, if you scroll down your screen you can see almost all of them have a face), since Epic Noggin's texture is very alike to that of Earth Island. Then, when they finally woke up the Colossals, Earth Island's eye is exactly the same as Epic Noggin, just a funny reference to that old but very famous theory

Rare toejammer actually has a reason to look the way it does, in its description it says that it likes to eat marshmallows, but they all end up getting pushed outside of its body due to its composition. I believe its also the marshmallows that cause it to be green and orange. I honestly didn't like it much originally, but after reading this bit of lore i actually came to appreciate them

I really like how the monsters you rank join the song throughout the video! It was really fun to watch!
If you ever rank the other Islands, I'd recommend ranking the Colossals as well. They're the big pals who are the actual islands. (actually, according to the lore, they are spirits of creation inhabiting the islands after the catacl-) After you wake them up, they make these windy, humming, cosmic horror sounds. They're _technically_ not Monsters, but I digress.
On the same note, the castles also make a bass sound after they've been upgraded once! They don't really have a... design, to speak of, but it'd be fun if you ranked them as well.

Bowgart just absolutely carries plant island. Especially when he hits the double harnony about 30 seconds into his playing. I still get hit with the biggest wave of nostalgia every time i hear him playing, he has always been the best monster, and i have kept that same opinion since i first heard him. His gold island is absolutely beautiful as well
For more explanation, I feel like all the monster work amazing together and bowgart has the absolute best synergy with all other monsters, plus sounding the best while being alone. Also the design and coloration of him is peak. Rare and epic are kinda meh for me, but he was the first rare I ever pushed to get back when they were released just bc of how much of a unit he is. First gold monster and I ever got as well.
The bowgarts design is so smart, the horns work so well, with 4 arms the way he holds it makes it so epic, and then the sounds it makes are godly.

The reason that people (including me) love the bowgart so much is probably because they change the song A LOT and they sound epic.
My time has come.
Bowgart adds so much emotion to the song, and it really emphasizes the castle bass, giving the whole song that build up especially during Parlsona's second solo
He just sounds great and looks great with a simple yet effective design

17:43 Bowgart plays a big role in every song he’s a part of. Most of the songs sound kinda hallow in certain points without him.
Whenever you take bowgart out of the plant island song, something is suddenly missing and the song feels surprisingly empty
this is why I love the bogart. I play the cello and I love how it is represented in one of my favorite games. Iove the blue with the scroll horns and the beg toes 80/10

25:11 on light island there is the elements light, plant, fire, and cold. I find it interesting how Tawkerr says the elements light (in the word sunlight), water, earth, and air. Water, earth, air, plant, cold, and fire are the main six elements of the game.
