5:05 Little trivia fact here. This trailer came out before 5.55 when we got to see Zenos with his new scythe. So this was both the reveal of what he picked AND the reveal of the reaper job iirc.
Yep, a great way to tell when the react video came out: do they freak out when the transition from the back of the chair to Thancred happens because they want to see the weapon? It's from the FanFest or shortly after. Do they take it in stride? It's after 5.55 came out.

Why is it that NO ONE ever recognizes the First Beast in these reaction videos? LOL I guess newer players didn't repeat Amarot enough.
The boys at Grinding Gear recognized the first beast and hyperfixated on it pretty hard

It's the same for me when they think the dragon with Estinien is Tiamat, he looks nothing like her!
to be fair, things look different ingame from the cinematic trailer rendering. And if you're not a tank you probably didn't see its front very closely during the dungeon. There's a lot to absorb all at once, in both the dungeon and the cinematic.
Amaurot being my favorite dungeon, I recognized the creatures from Amaurot in general, but didn't recognize that specific one until I saw it rendered ingame. And then it was obvious. :P

Never ceases to amaze me how many people call the dragon Tiamat even though Estinien even says the name of the dragon 😂😂
They either talk over it when he does or just aren't paying attention to what is actually being said lol.
A name that we never heard of before so it could be confused for anything, especially for non-native english people :p
@@reiizayoi3376People played Patch 5.5 and saw what Tiamat looks like. So I don’t think a language barrier has anything to do with it.
I thought he was speaking like to a city name or something (the time has come Ul'Dah), not the dragon right next to him lmao I'm an idiot, I know hahaha
@@reiizayoi3376 We’ve known the name of all 7 of Midgardsormr’s First Brood for the past 7 years when the last 2 were introduced to the lore. Also, we met and spoke with Tiamat in HW and she had casually been in the same place for years. The two great wyrms look quite different with one with an elongated horn in the front, and the other with 3 prominent ones on the top their head.

What was not shown was Y'shtola tripping over the table on her way out.
She sees everything. She's basically Daredevil in that her blindness is in no way a handicap as the way she perceives things now is 100000x clearer than people who rely only on their eyes.
@@smward87 i think theyre refering to fact that the way they show her walking out would end with her walking into a table not her blindness.
Or, she walks over the table to establish dominance 😂

Sassy cat is going to jump ON the table and walk along it, knocking things off as she goes. When Haurchefant says "STOP IT" she's going to stop, stare at him.....and knock off something else.
FWIW, we have seen Elidibus on the moon several times in cutscenes; back in Heavensward when we first saw Ardbert introduced as the Warrior of Darkness, and then again in 5.1 when he resolves to become the Warrior of Light.
Also the reason the WoL is a paladin is a nod to FFIV (released outside Japan as FF2 on the SNES). The main character Cecil starts as a Dark Knight, becomes a Paladin, then travels to the Moon. There are a lot of references to FFIV in this expansion, which I won't mention for spoiler reasons.
Go back to the 1.0 trailer and look closely when the party gets up and walks out. The WoL has a sword over his shoulder with his backpack. It's big, but not quite 2H big. He wasn't archer in the trailer, he was archer in the VISION during the trailer, but in the trailer itself he's using a sword.
If you consider that potentially Gladiator (they didn't have jobs/classes in 1.0 like we do now), then the trailers come full circle with the WoL ending Endwalker as paladin when he started as Gladiator. Doubtful it's intentional, but it's a beautiful coincidence.
Also....so many FFIV references....still no Cecil Minion. *ANGRYYYYYY*
Gladiator is correct, because the offhand shield in 1.0 was technically its own class called Sentinel and there was no two handed swords in 1.0.

A fun fact: The song playing during the trailer is called Footfalls. The Waking Sands was located in The Footfalls. The circle is complete.
Another thing in the trailer is when it zooms in on Zenos's eye with "Passed the far edge of fate" being said, 'The far edge of fate' if i remember right is the name of the quest in Stormblood where we first see Zenos
Yes, it is also the name of the last quest in the Post-Heavensward MSQ

Paladin or alt. knight is the signature class of Mr. FInal Fantasy( ff1 WoL). Elidibus took the form of WoL incarnate, so having derplander/meteor become a paladin is fitting for the arc finale. Also changing from dark knight to paladin holds specia emaning to the franchise.
How you can not see a "pip" of this trailer if this start to play 30 seconds after you stay idle in the main screen.

Speculation won't do you any good. I guarantee your thoughts won't be anywhere near right. Just absorb the story and lore as you go and don't bog yourself down attempting to make sense of what you are going to be presented.
But the speculation is fun for a lot of people to watch. Idk about you but hearing his thoughts is part of the fun for me, or else id just do NG+ xD
