One thing I would do before checking the sound is make sure the tags are tuck in the riser cause i bet some bows that tag bouncing is louder than the bow
@ sure it does then he’d get the same result for all bows tested…. Which is similar to what he’s getting. Hes testing arrow noise. Not bow noise when the arrow is louder than the bow.
@@davidmayers1645I think no more than how 'deep' the triangle between the grip and the axles is. I think it makes little to no difference how much the bow protrudes outside of that triangle.
This is the bow he's been teasing that he had set up for an upcoming hunt...until the new Mathews dropped and he set up the new Lift X so you know he was in love with it from the beginning.
Way to go bow brother nice job you got the sound down , great content really descriptive, plus I know I'm getting facts not favoritism, God bless and God bless America
I mentioned this before but You’ve got this “load out point” very wrong. This measurement doesn’t correlate with the string angle and that’s what your saying will make the bow “feel” longer or shorter. This bowtech string angle in YOUR drawboard under YOUR specs measure 66 degrees. The lift x also has a 33 1/2 inch “load out point” as u call it. The lift X string angle in YOUR drawboard at YOUR specs measure 70 degrees. Bowtech measure exactly 30 inches. Mathews 30 1/4 on draw length. That further proves the point. It severely has to do with cam ANGLE and not cam to cam measurement. The Hoyt and elite will have a substantially better string angle than both of these with a much smaller “load out” One inch of draw length generally correlates to about 1 degree of change. 66 to 70 is a substantial string angle difference even though the “load out” is the same. You’re on the right track but this is just poor info. It has zero correlation to what the bow will feel like at full draw when it comes to ata length as string angle determines that which doesn’t correlate as I just showed. If u want this info to match your wording you need to be measure the actual string angle which is very simple. Long story short load out and string angle do NOT go hand in hand.
@therman6813 That's groundbreaking technology for sure lol It's hilarious nobody outside their umbrella as a company even made a sight to fit their core mount sight. Basically you used their sight or their core technology was useless.
Is the cam manipulation on these more of a fine or course adjustment without the press? Or is it like the mathews and its the only thing needed to fix a paper tear
This system is the gold standard and Mathews is simply doing the only thing they can to approximate this tech without patent infringement. Darton and Elite’s tuning systems are both superior to the Mathews thing. They are late to the party. I don’t like the Mathews thing at all. The Bowtech system will absolutely take care of standard paper tears.
@ yeah i mean i shoot a Hoyt so im not biased to either, i think all of todays bows and brands are all good. Dont love or hate any one brand. Just was curious if it only used that system for tuning or if there was something for more of a coarse adjustment first. Ive also heard multiple people say Darton, Bowtech, and Mathews are all superior to Elites system and elites only moves a tear so much
Matt McPherson called up Bowtech an said "check yo sef on that sight mount sucka!" Then he said, "y'all seen what we did with that limb tuning? Whats up?!"
Yeah Bowtech should’ve been licensing deadlock and timelock the 2nd year it came out. Then they get a piece of every bow sold by several competitors. Now in 3 years, 3 other companies have self tuning features patented that are very comparable
@@Allegiance_Outdoors it’s why Bowtech should have licensed it… one of the provisions of most licensing agreements is a clause, that you cannot use anything similar for a decade sometimes until a licensed patent expires. And that clause can be much broader, so it could have excluded all “self tuning wheel features” or something.
@ oh totally. Bowtech thought they could out innovate / market Mathews and Matt just waited till the casually walked to stairs one day and he kicked them down it and took their lunch money!!
They’re all within 10 fps of one another. The differences can be easily explained by how aggressive the draw cycles are and the brace height. Anyone choosing a bow based on 5 fps is a casual and has no idea about bows.
@tommurph4496 saw that, I was more curious about loudness and draw cycle. I really thought bowtech was gonna answer back to the lift with this bow. Maybe more down the road to see...
@@tommurph4496 my thoughts exactly. but if it was that bad im sure he wouldve said something, hes really honest about these bow reveiws, its my go to channel for new bows when making a decision, but i have yet to see anything come out that would get me to turn in my reign 7...
@ yeah he’s my go to as well. I’m currently shooting the Lift 33, but I used to shoot the Solution and that was a great bow that I never should have sold.
Hugely disappointed in Bowtech so far this year. Their website is even down today! Where’s an affordable, magnesium riser in 32/33” under 4.0lbs…w/o all the “Honor” accessorization?
Pretty disappointed in Bowtech this year. Was hopeful for a lower stabilizer mount and a magnesium alloy riser this year, and that sight mount is hot garbage.
Reinventing the wheel must be hard😢. How hard is it to make a perfect shooting bow? Obviously hard. These Companies are trying to innovate instead of giving us perfect shooting bows. I find it embarrassing. I hate how a Mathews bow feels to shoot. I find it embarrassing that the SS34 had polymer limb pockets. This bow probably has polymer limb pockets also.
@silentassassin1108 how much more though could you expect out of a long axle fairly big bh bow? I get what your saying but it's somewhat unfair to the bigger more forgiving bows
The half ass sight mount, is because they copied Mathews, after putting Athens out of business for copying there tuning system. I hope Mathews sued the shit out of them. In my opinion all these new bows are to complicated with to many unnecessary moving parts. I am not interested in any of them. I killed my buck this year with a bear silver tip made in 1995. I had more fun going backwards than shooting my modern bows.
So 7 years of no real improvement. I don't really care if I have to twist a yoke they all tune pretty easy. All the new bows are slower and heavier than the realm series. Blah!
Without patents there will be very little incentive to innovate. These companies can’t invest millions in R&D, just to have 1-2 years of sales advantage
One thing I would do before checking the sound is make sure the tags are tuck in the riser cause i bet some bows that tag bouncing is louder than the bow
Wow, this bow was just as gast as the Lift-x 33, which MFJJ said was one of the fastest bows this year
Would love to see another blindfold test with the new bows before you get too familiar with them.
I wish they all would just standardize the sight mounting and go with the pic mount
I said the same thing mathews sent a cease and desist letter for running the sight thru the riser.
I would be interested in knowing if the info card on the bow it adding any noise to the bow.
@cantcopymyname omg i say this every single time he shoots a bow with a tag on it!!! It's absolutely noticeable through the audio.
Which would you prefer? The SS34 or the Proven 34?
When you do bow reviews could you also review, compare and post the draw curves for each bow for comparison
You need to shoot bareshfts trough the meter as well the vanes are louder than the bow.
Kinda doesn’t matter if he is shooting the same arrow and vane through all of them.
@ sure it does then he’d get the same result for all bows tested…. Which is similar to what he’s getting. Hes testing arrow noise. Not bow noise when the arrow is louder than the bow.
What do you suggest for a lefty? Most shops will have one left handed bow in the store and it’s usually a Mathews.
Axle to axle reflex and brace height, that bow has to be super accurate and it's pretty fast.
I’d love to find a way to test how much “reflex” matters in making a bow forgiving and accurate.
@davidmayers1645 Target bows are made that way for forgiveness, you just have to try both out with 40 shots and see how many X's
@@davidmayers1645I think no more than how 'deep' the triangle between the grip and the axles is. I think it makes little to no difference how much the bow protrudes outside of that triangle.
