I love the fact that a video made by a guy 5 years ago from the other side of the world has enabled me to fix my car so that it doesn't fail it's road worthiness test and cause my family no end of problems. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video. I had the warning light and the garage said it was an instant fail for the annual road certificate (MOT), so I checked the switch in the belt buckle and gave that a squirt of contact cleaner but still no fix. I then found your video and looked under the seat and squeezed a few of the wiring connectors together and one clicked as if it wasn't connected properly - and now the problem has been resolved! Thanks again!
Aye bro 5hrs ago i went to walmart n i realize bout the airbag light. I got paranoid so i msg people asking what the hell is that. Lol coz all i know is driving n buying the gas. So i came home n i start to google n youtube n i found dis vid. Man i thank god it was u. U help me solve my problem🥺🙏 coz ii was about to bring it to the shop just to see what is wrong with it. So i did what u show to ur vid n ii follow what u did. Thank you man so much. God bless u brother🙏🙏🙏💚
i have the exactly same problem , i paused your video and i found the red and Black wire broken from the yellow plug , on my Mazda Tribute , i fixed and VOILA ! the light ( Air bag ) is gone , Thank you a million for your video , i saved money , Thank you again !!! 👏🏼 👍 ✌️
Fixed a 2014 KIA Forte. The under the passenger side seat (had to remove the 4 bolts) there are 4 or 5 separate connections, I ensured each was disconnected and re-connected. That did the trick for a day before the SRS airbag warning light went on again.I would recommend that folks check the under-seat wire connect harness first before taking to a service tech. However in my case, it required the replacement of the Click Spring unit. Took to dealership in the end and cost about $300.
Check with Kia, the clock spring has an additional warranty for a long time on Hyundai`s for that problem. Check with Kia themselves first, i think you will get reimbursed, give it a shot you can find the warranty on line, good luck.
@@bobfearick2297 yes, I was able to get reimbursed for the out of pocket cost for dealership replacement. I had to contact KIA Customer Svc first and then it took about 1year to get it reimbursed.
Simple things to try before going to the stealership. My '07 Jetta 2.5 failed inspection now I'm hawking everything to try and make the out of the blue light go away. Yeah disconnect the battery maybe before jiggling wires blah blah, but i dont think it's rigged to be so sensitive otherwise moving the seat forwards/backwards would set it off....right?
You've saved me from almost one year of stress. I've done what you demonstrated, and the airbag light is now gone.😂😂😂 happy dayzzzz Thanks a million ....👍🏾
Other videos say to disconnect the battery completely and leave it disconnected for 15 minutes BEFORE playing with the air bag wires to avoid triggering the airbags .
Very bad idea. Because then you lose the code for the Radio and if you have an old car, not even the dealership can help you over the phone. You have to pay them to find out
@@antoninspirationalvideos4495 depends on cars... i have a 2007 Lexus RX350 and it didn't need a radio code once i reconnected the battery terminal. The only thing is i had to reconfigure the power windows and sunroof as well as presets on my stereo.

Whatever you do do not listen or do what this guy is showing. Disconnect the battery at least 15 min prior to messing with the airbag system. You could and likely will set off the airbags.
I have a 2008 Honda Accord. They had a recall on the SRS and airbag. When I brought to their attention they said it was already on when I brought it in for the recall. I told them that I wasn’t. So they ran a check (check the code) to see what was the cause, they told me it was a sensor under the seat. But to run a diagnostic check it would have cost $95. And once they find out the problem is they’d deduct the $95 from the total cost of the repair. So needless to say, I’m still riding around with the seatbelt light on the dash and have intermittent light by air vents flashing. DRIVES ME NUTS! Thanks for this!
I just mildly touched and reposition the yellow stuffs under the seat of my Peugeot 5008 and boom just like magic i start my car and the airbag light is gone. Thanks a lot.
