    What a hell of a group!
    Rl26 and 183 matchkings going 2950 out of my 27" saum.
    Im so happy with the cartridge. Mild recoil and excellent ballistics.

    No doubt about it; you craft the most accurate magnums I have ever seen. One of the main reasons is that you don't only build the rifle for accuracy but you selling entire package including optimized accuracy reloads. And if people pay for it, they can come in and sit down to a full learning clinic on how to reload the right way. That simply is unheard of. I've never heard of it. Bravo! And I have always said all the same things that you do about brass. Anything you do to brass is making it worse so the more you have to do to it the worst your problem is. I very rarely do anything other than neck size and the most I ever do is neck size with a tiny shoulder bump. My only exception is when I'm reloading for gas operated magazine ammo. Perfect advice!

    I re-barreled my Savage 116 long action, 300 Win. Mag. to a Criterion 7mm SAUM 26" 1-9 twist; replaced the stock with a Boyds laminated Pro Varmint, then free floated and pillar bedded it; Vortex Viper 6-24x50mm scope on Burris 6 screw low mounts; Switchview power lever; SWFA bubble level, and a Holland Radial Baffle Muzzle Brake. I built it for long range competition, and reload my own rounds.

      Dear Sir - That is why most Gun-Builders don't test fire their guns - too much work!

      @@quarterminutemagnums can you name a single gun builder that doesn't test fire their guns?

    When i built my heavy class (max allowed weight 22lbs) 7RSAUM bench rifle with Brux 30" straight blank 1:8 twist throated for Sierra 183grSMK i loaded 15 Berger 168grVLD's up to do the standard 15 shot break in i always do. By the time i was done doing my shooting and cleaning cycles those 15 shots at 100yds were under 3/4". I knew that barrel was going to be an ass kicker. Oh and by the way my match load runs 3,030fps with sierra 183gr. Thats off my labradar the only chrono worth buying. Dont kno who said it was not fast, its so efficient it matches the 7wsm and 7rem mag with 8.0gr less capacity

      Dear Sir - 7RSAUM is a VERY accurate cartridge. Thanks for the input................

      @@quarterminutemagnums i think so, i find it inherently accurate over the 284 and improved version as it looks like a scled up dasher. Feel it gives better barrel life and more efficient than the 7mmWSM as i use to use one for BR. I feel the 7mmSherman shotrts, 7x270wsm or 7x300wsm are also good choices. Good luck with your new saum

      @@quarterminutemagnums so do ours regardless of caliber. But out of all nothing held the first 15shots during break in like the 7saum did. Except for one 264winchester a few years back

    Is it really worth buying a McMillan rifle if you're going to swap the barrel on it? I thought that McMillan was top of the line already.

    • @quarterminutemagnums
      @quarterminutemagnums  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dear Sir - as far as I know, McMillan no longer builds complete rifles. Also, this rifle only has a McMillan stock, it was a "new" build not a rebuild. Thanks......
