Great to see you stopping by, Greg. Just discovered that you made a library edit of The Glass Frog. Makes me curious, the album has already library feel. Happy holidays. Talk to you soon. Cheers. /Paul
Hi Rodney. For sure Greg Foat is the man! He has created so many fantastic albums the last ten years. But are you sure the titles you mention are by Greg Foat? They don't ring a bell with me. Happy holidays. Cheers. /Paul
Europe seems to be putting out a lot more new jazz than the US. I bought no new jazz this year and the reason why is my #1 Jazz channel for new jazz didn’t put out many videos- Paul. You always find some of the grooviest albums. I did not know Foat even put out an album, let alone 4. I will be checking all of these out as I really like the grooves. Paul, I hope to hear more from you next year, you cost me a lot of money but I love your ear for cool music
Hi Steve! I take full responsibility for the lack in spending. Although I'm pretty sure you found some nice alternatives ;) I hope the music gave you some new directions to explore. Happy holidays. And see you next year! Cheers. /Paul
Thank you so much. I had only heard Jasmine Myra in this list. Now i have weeks of great music to explore. Keep sharing your love for music, it's so wonderful.
Nice to see you stopping by again. I promised you more great music last week. I hope it didn't disappoint. Thanks for the kind words. It's great to be able to share this music with you. Happy holidays. Cheers. /Paul

hvala Gorane! bice lepo zaviriti u tudje dvoriste 😁 po imenima koja prepoznajem iz prve, a tek po prilicnom broju nepoznatih, pretrazivanje tvoje ce biti prilicno uzbudljivo
Thanks for all the great videos over the years. Your passion for this kinda music always shines through and inspires me to seek out new sounds. Cheers 🥂
Thank you so much for the kind words. A wise man ones suggested to me, only make videos of music you love. Everyone has his own taste in music with what he likes and not. Happy to hear you enjoy my kinda music :) Happy holidays. Cheers. /Paul
Hi Mark! 100% Jeff Parker is a very special artist. He is involved and cooperates in many project. Always adding some extra to the mix. Happy holidays. Cheers. /Paul

Wow! Awesome listing here Paul👏🏻not to give anything away .... for me the stand outs you showed are 2,3 and 9! Nine I truly was feeling a groove I need to delve further into....cheers and again happy Christmas and happy New year 🎊
Hey Lis! Thanks for not giving away the titles :) Always great to see your taste in music. We definitely like our music groovy (and I hear immediately Let's Groove by EWF in my ears :) Happy holidays. Cheers. /Paul
So strangely enough, i totally loved the Misha Paniflov live album. These were my favourites this year 1. Misha Paniflov - Live in Stockholm 2. Bill Laurance and Michael League - Where You Wish You Were. 3. Corto Alto 30/108 4. Finn Rees - Dawn Is A Melody.
As much as I enjoyed Misha Panfilov's live albums this year...I enjoyed Frutaria Electronica the most. But for jazz album of the year...that goes to Alan Braufman Infinite Love Infinite Tears!
Hi! Misha is a trick of all trades. I don't know any artist that has such a wide playing field. It seems he can switch from one to the other with no effort needed. Thanks for the Alan Braufman tip. Don't know the album and I'm gonna check it out. Happy holidays. Cheers. /Paul
@XjunkieNL Its a great album...the vibe player is Patricia Brennan...check out her album Breaking Stretch that came out this year too...she's the best!
My list of albums to check out is growing and growing. So much fantastic jazz music is being released these days. It's great to be a music lover :) /Paul
Jazz is a music rooted in the African American experience yet judging from your selections the black roots are completely ignored and we have literal white bread bland artist playing commercial junk. Lo and behold not one black artist. Banal congeniality
Hi Ludwig. Thank you for the comment. Part of the blame is me, I prefer to have a groove in my jazz. The selection clearly shows my personal preference. Maybe what you call commercial junk started when Ramsey Lewis and Cannonball Adderley added soul to the mix. That opened the door or some say closed the door ;) Still I feel it is too easy to discard this music. As it is more accessible, especially for those who listen occasionally to jazz. It certainly helps to bridge the gap and introduce the beauty of jazz to a wider audience. Happy Holidays. Cheers. /Paul
What an ignorant comment… on the Glass Frog album the musicians are predominately black and mixed race. Not that it makes any difference to someone with such a closed mind and narrow view of the world. there will always be someone wanting to find something to complain about!
What is your favorite jazz album of 2024? Comment here, and let's build together the ultimate jazz vinyl list.
Thanks Paul ❤
Great to see you stopping by, Greg. Just discovered that you made a library edit of The Glass Frog. Makes me curious, the album has already library feel. Happy holidays. Talk to you soon. Cheers. /Paul
Thanks a lot, great - and very informative - video!
Greg Foat is a genius! I love his previous gems, "Sapphire Dreams", "Electric Dreams 1" and "Unconditional Love".😊😊😊😊
Hi Rodney. For sure Greg Foat is the man! He has created so many fantastic albums the last ten years. But are you sure the titles you mention are by Greg Foat? They don't ring a bell with me. Happy holidays. Cheers. /Paul
Off the Blue Lotus Album released in 2022. A sure fire banger!😊😊😊
