    Tyla is winning because of colorism and pretty privilege. She’s a bigger name in American media. She’s in a Gap campaign, she’s a Grammy winner, she was a highlight of the Met Gala, shes becoming a fashion girlie, it-girl and red carpet favourite, she’s becoming an A-lister in America so she skips ahead of everyone. Every awards show wants Tyla sitting in their audience rn. Don’t think about Tyla’s songs bc it’s bigger than music, think about the BRAND. Americans decided Tyla is the moment. The Americans consider feel Tyla is far more marketable to the American market than any other nominee in the international act category. She’s very marketable to black & WHITE audiences.

    Judging from your commentary I can tell you were not following Tyla if you think she “disappeared”, had “one hit song” and was not “consistent”. Your bias has clouded your judgement. My advice is follow her journey and you will understand why she won. And no she’s “not lucky” she worked hard for these awards. There’s still more to come by the way ✌🏽

    If an artist like Tyla, who only recently entered the industry, can defeat the heavyweights in the Nigerian music industry to win both the Grammy and the Bet awards in her short period of time, Ghanaian artists who are quick to blame Nigeria for their inability to win these awards should begin to reconsider their craft and leave Nigeria alone. They should now understand that it has nothing to do with Nigeria's population or any other excuses they constantly make that prevent them from getting these awards or achieving success and global recognition in the entertainment industry.
    It is just them who are not taking the necessary steps; instead, they are continuously taking the easy way out by blaming Nigeria, which is a quick and simple excuse to cover up their Ineptitude.
    Tyla has proven that it is feasible to reach there with or without the excuse of Nigeria's overpopulation.

      American Awards are very political and they really know what they're doing. Tyra is an Industry Plant.
      Wake Up...
      The American Elites are using her to push their agenda. Tyla is doing nothing to deserve these awards. One Hit Wonders.
      Wake Up Mahn!

  • @papap1186
    @papap1186 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    One Hit Wonders winning awards only in the US 😂😂😂 that tells you that she's an Industry Plant in the US.
    Apart from US, Tyla cannot win any award in any part of the world. 😮

    This isn't an award well deserved, in my opinion. She identifies herself as colored when in Africa SA. But as black when in the US. But couldn't go for a tour because she canceled it due to health related issues. Scam. When you live here in the United States 🇺🇸, you will understand that "AFRICA " doesn't appeal to them. All the cover up before this time was because there wasn't an alternative. Now they have it. They respect SA more. Also, Sony Records owns her brand, and they sit at the table. 😂😂😂😂 but I trust Nigeria 🇳🇬 because we know dey carry last watch out very soon. we will break the code and when we do that trust me dem go cry. But before then my brothers and sisters keep making money for your pockets. You don't need their validation

    The most controversially awarded Artist in Africa & in human history !! Multiple awards from just one song??? No Major Concert, No Limelight performances, No world tour shows, No arenas / venues shut down??? Even South Africans knows she's not deserving of what she's getting!! Fact, No Cap! I give flowers to those deserving of it, Not this girl!

    Yes Folarin, 1 song in a particular year can make you win. It's not about consistency or performance overtime but what's on offer for the year in view. Remember Libianca's song, People, 2023. Not 'heard' from her since then. It's just what it is

    People keep forgetting that the reason this girl keeps “winning” these awards “beating your so called heavy weights” is primarily because all your favs can’t generate this much conversation or attention like she can. All music staples in the US had this ability, literally this type of rollout, BEY, RIRI, whoever else, they simply just became public fixtures, and that’s what is needed to be a main stay in the industry. If the US market cared about talent( to which she’s still more talented than your TEMS AND AYRA BTW, let’s be honest, they’re just good in studio records, please admit that to yourselves) America has enough talented people, CHLOE N HALLE could’ve easily continued American music but no, they just don’t have the same ability she does.. you as a commentator should know this, you literally ignored everything else that happened that night n picked her as your subject matter, you know her name will generate you clicks, I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, I’m saying that’s the business model of Hollywood, you should know that..
