I hope Tyla gets to perform at the Grammys. I think it would be a performance that would solidify her presence as the new Queen within the music industry. Before, you all come at me regarding the existence of Queen Bey, Tyla represents a new era. She is young, beautiful and incredibly talented. The music industry business always operates like that, there is always a shift towards a new dominant artist. Before Beyonce, it was the Whitney’s, the Janet Jackson’s and the Tina Turners of this world. All legends in their own right, but there is always a shift as time goes on. Now we have Tyla, and how incredible that she is an African artist. If she pulls this off it will be an incredible feat as there has never been a globally successful African artist. I really am rooting for this girl, it’s going to be a great watch, that’s for sure

She is right, I have listened to rap, R&B, Soca and Afrobeats forever, but Amapiano is just different, like the music does something different to me, it is spiritual and ancestral it brings you back to the motherland. South African energy is electric and raw, which you can see in Tyla's personality too. I'm hoping for Tyla to come out with a harder Amapiano song though! Still thank goodness for Africa, Afrobeats and Amapiano is saving our music.
