I played the ex 1 solid top and the laminated top. I thought the laminated top sounded better and fuller so I bought it instead and of course it was less expensive. . It’s also was heavier than the solid top. Both sounded great but I chose the laminated. Easily as good or better than a Martin !
I am glad you like the emx1 .. yes being all HPL it is heavier than the emx1 pro ... the x1 series is pretty much like the martin series but more affordable.
hi brother .. you can look to get the semi- acoustic or transacoustic either of them work for you .. if you're the kind so wants basic Eq control then semi -acoustic works best.
